Home Made Oak top bar Beehive with observation window
I built this hive with my uncle a couple years ago. I have switched to Warre type hives now. There are some very good reasons to use the Top Bar Hive, removable combs. The bees control their own bee space and cell size. This allows the bees to build smaller cells in dearth when forage crops are low. This also allows the bees to use the wax that they secrete from glands under the wings and this in turn is where the bee cleanses itself of toxins encountered in the environment. This is the long body style top bar hive and many people keep two seperate colonies by dividing the hive with a follower board. This makes the space available to the honeybee smaller and easier to maintain temperature in. The observation window behind the oak door is a very nice feature, especially for the beginner to beekeeping. You can gain your confidence slowly and ... morewatch the progress inside the hive. You will become addicted to the bees and you will grow on them. I have had a honey bee find me in my garden and literally buzzing around my head and I went to the hive and sure enough I had to reduce the entrance because they were being robbed by a more robust colony of bees nearby. I do have the ply wood to fix the roof and I will have that part fixed before auction end and will post additional photos after repairing. We finished the outside with linseed oil mixed with beeswax, not much evidence of that now. I hope that you become a friend of the honeybee and that they become friends to you. I could not find any marks to identify the manufacturer. Its possible that the smoker was repainted. There is some wear on the bellows as you can see in the pictures. I believe that is the only damage, and it does not affect the operation of the bellows as the bellows seem to work perfectly.

Maxant Honey Extractor 3/6 Frame Hand Crank - Plastic Body
I doubt you've seen one of these! I purchased this extractor years ago after buying out a fellow beekeeper. I had a few hives in the backyard that were not in my commercial apiary. And the neighbor's kids liked to help me extract that honey with this hand crank model so I kept it around. They have since moved out so I don't use this anymore. You won't find many 6/3 frame extractors that will stand up to anything. The FDA compliant plastic tub can take a beating and not dent one bit. You'll see plenty of 2 frame extractors that are stainless steel for $200 dollars but they are made in China with chinese grade ultra thin stainless steel. They dent easily and will not hold together for more than 3 or so years before you need to have it repaired or replaced. Lot of Honeybee Hive Boxes and Equipment
22 new and 6 older painted cedar bottom boards; 22 like new painted telescoping covers and inner covers; 19 like new 10-frame painted select grade hive bodies. This grade has the least amount of imperfections allowed. 8 older hive bodies. Painted. Most of this equipment was used for one season and was then stored in a garage. Most of this equipment was used for one season; most of the hives didn't winter over. Most of the new boxes are the select grade. A few of the older boxes have been repaired and newly painted. The tops and bottoms are all like new and the wood has all been painted. I live in Worcester. VT and would be willing to deliver or meet for pickup in a 200-mile radius.
