This is an unusual wooden table money bank no key required underneath is a hidden wooden latch when opened money can be taken out this one is hand made inlaid different color wood around the opening looks as they are flat head brass screws to make a nice finish sturdy. Can be used as doll house furniture table the flaws that I see is one of the legs on the bottom is a little indented and the wood has come off about 1/4 of an inch there are some stain marks and some minor scratches on the wood. I have a few extra nuc boxs, some painted some not. you may not get the one as pictured. theyre all pretty much the same. all are jointed and screwed. none are rotted or broken. all are 5 frame, w/ split rail. and do not include foundations. they have bottom board, inner cover and top cover, with metal cap. entrances are 1/2 by 3/8 set up like a yankee nuc box. Antique Bee Box - Fruitwood Orchards Restored Baby Nuc Bee Box - Old Beekeeping
Antique baby bee nuc box that is used to house individual Queen bees for mating. Originally in use at Fruitwood Orchard. This box was restored in 1997. Here is the story: The Wrights used this Baby Nuc Box to house individual queen bees for mating. Millions of bees in thousands of hives originated from these hand-made boxes. When the queen laid eggs, she was removed to a regular size hive and was replaced with a new queen cell. The regular hives were then transported to pollinate crops and produce honey across the country. Typically the Wright Family was able to use a Baby Nuc Box for about forty years before it had to be discarded. Rather than destroy this original box, it has been carefully restored by a family friend and neighbor, Janet Iles. The box has been painted and decorated with flowers on the sides and the top. The Wright Family has been farming in the Delaware Valley since the 1800s. Their honey business began in the Delaware Valley of New Jersey. Antique Vintage HONEY BEE HIVE for Nuc Colony, Raising Queens, or Swarms, Apiary
These is an antique/ vintage nuc bee hive found in a farmer's barn. Small nuc hives are often used for splitting colonies. Raising new colonies, rearing queens, or catching small swarms. This comes with the hive body, inner cover, and outer cover. This old hive not in bad condition. It could use some extra glue and nails and sanitization if you plan on using it for bees. It's not completely clean. I rinsed the dust off and gave everything a once over with soapy water but that's all I did to clean it. The hive body is nice and solid. There are still some nails sticking out on the outside. So please be careful when you open the package. I think someone used to hang their tools from these, would be my guess. The inner cover is a little bit flimsy but still intact. The outer cover could us some work. It needs some nails and glue and ... moreone of the framing boards has a crack(I tried to take a photo of this) The roofing on here is starting to peel up around the edges. The hive body measures 22 inches long including the landing area. The box itself is 20 inches long. It's 8 inches wide. The hole hive when assembled including outer cover is about 12 1/2 inches high. The wood on this set has a nice patina from age and beeswax and I also think that this would be fun to use for crafts. Maybe a planter as a gift for your favorite beekeeper? Welcome! Here we have a nice vintage MARX cap gun holster. I am pretty sure it is from the 1950's. I do not know too much about this. I found only one small vintage 1950's toy add with its picture on it. It seems to be made of a thick rubber. It measures about 32' long when unbuckled and the holster parts measure 10' long.
