Bee keeper Equip - Frame grabber, Spur wire embedder, 2 old veils
This equipment was found in the family barn. It was used by my father 30 years ago when he was a bee keeper. Has been in storage ever since that time. The spur wire embedder is used to secure a thin layer of foundation wax into each timber frame. At least four strands of bee wire are threaded across the frame. Then the frame was laid flat, with the wires on top of a layer of foundation wax. The embedder is then used to push the wire into the wax. Frame Grip. The rounded handle is easy on the fingers allowing you to squeeze tightly and ger a firm grip on the frame. EVERY BEEKEEPER NEEDS ONE OF THESE KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM A FRAME FULL OF BEES. Children's one piece beekeeping suit with veil. This has never been worn by anyone. Has never been in an apiary. Was used as a display item while selling honey. This has no rips. Tears, or wear of any kind. Item has some dirty spots that can be washed with soap and water. The size is XS and fits 10 to 12 year olds. Has three pockets in the front. One upper pocket is with a zipper. Veil can be removed as it is zipped on to the full suit. Has elastic bands around the writs and for the thumb area. Zipper at boot area and elastic for protection. The suit retailed at Dadant for $69.00. This item is two years old and in very good shape, perfect to get your young one started in beekeeping.

Up for auction is an antique collectible advertisement piece from the 20's or 30's. It is made of ceramic(thin glass like body) and metal extremities. Original paint. Some rust and missing hind wing as pictured. This is a cute bee keepers display(absolutely not a toy or for play) and an extremely rare one of a kind item. It was part of my parents estate and has been displayed in my gameroom ever since. This listing is for 4 bee keeper's gloves. There are 3 right hand gloves made by Best. There is only 1 left handed glove and it has no name on it. These look to be in good used condition. There are 2 spots of staining on 2 of the gloves. There is some wear on the palms of the gloves. The elastic at the top of the cotton material where it goes over your arms should be replaced. It looks to be worn out from age and not use. Completely usable if using with a full suit. The cotton arm part is heavy cloth. Stiff like jean material. I don't see any seam separation anywhere. The entire piece contains the patina characteristic of an older. Gently used item built of various materials. The tin metal has darkened with age and the wood is a warm, deep gold and brown. There are a few very small indents in the metal and the edge of the nozzle tip is bent inward. We have not attempted to clean or alter this item in any way. Dadant and Sons beekeeper Hat, bee keeper gloves, and bee suit
Selling a Beekeeper suit. The only label I can find is on the hat portion which says Dadant and Sons. The Mesh on the hat zips to the suit. the suit and hat weren't purchased like this though. My mom, a retired seamstress, installed the zipper to make sure bee's wouldn't get in. I don't know if the suit is a Dandant and sons suit though as I can't find a label on it. My mom doesn't know. What she does know is that my dad purchased two complete suits(suits, hats, and gloves 1 for each of them) together at the same store. unfortunately he isn't with us anymore. This is a thick. Warm, comfy suit. My guess is the size is a medium. I am 6' 185 lbs and it fits me. the person in the pic is 5.7, 140lbs. The hat is internally adjustable. the glove are stained. I washed the suit but couldn't get the stain out. the ... moreseam on one finger came loose so I had it sewn using the same hole in the original sticking. all this can be seen in the pic. My mom. Professional complete Bee Keeper Suit with Extras SZ XL
Ooooooh. You'll want to grab these up! I fostered a couple of bee hives and the beekeeper couldn't keep the killer bees from invaded the hives so he removed them and I won't be needing this suit anymore. I only wore it about three times to go down and watch him work with the bees and then I stopped going down because the bees were getting all riled up and I didn't want them bothering my horses. Time wise, these suits have less than one hour worth of wear. I started with the shirt/hat combo and when the killer bees came around, I amped up to the big suit because I was curious and wanted to see what it was like to be around killer bees. What a fricken mistake THAT was! Had to jump in the beekeepers truck with a zillion bees on us and drive down a dirt road in an attempt to get them away from the horses. It's funny, but the ... moreonly time people want to stop and help is when you've got killer bees all over you. As soon as it registers that's what's happening, it's funny to see how fast people can drive away. Anyhoo, no more playing with bees for me. They are all size extra large or one-size-fits all(adult) The coverall is made by Mann Lake LTD. and the shirt with attached hat was purchased at Crockett Honey in Tempe Arizona. They are a professional beekeeper supplier. The cloth and leather gloves are rather big for a girl.just too big in the fingers but still fit snuggly with the elastic arm bands. Everything is in great condition with the exception of a few dirt smudges. The beekeeper said not to wash it too often so it hasn't been washed yet so all the fabric is still very protective. Up for auction with no reserve. Primitive Bee Keeper Box in original paint. Made by hand. Note the detail in the craftsmanship of this wonderful piece. Hand drilled holes on top and sides. Hand wrought handle and square head nails. Oxidation around nail heads reveals they are all original. Awesome patina on the ox blood red color paint. Note the chamfered edge around top of box. Solid construction allowed this box to survive for years. Circa early to mid 1800s. Front of box slides up and out to access honey combs that would have slid in between bars. A Very Old Bee Hive Smoker. Great Bee Keeper Decor
Oh the memories this brings back when we were young bee keepers in Maryland in the 70s pollinating sunflower fields and being chased from end to end by our little winged friends. This smoker looks to be pretty old and shows its age. The bellows are leather and in good shape although down in the bottom corner there is a piece of leather that needs to be tucked back in the metal frame in order for the smoker to work better. Bee Keeper Suit XXL Coveralls. Helmet& Head Net Walter T. Kelley CO Beekeeping Well made suit. USA product. Coveralls have stains- they have been washed. All zippers work well. Good used condition. Have some stains- no rigs. Tears or holes. I am 6' 4" 240 pounds- the suit fit me a bit snug- length was fine. Coveralls are made of lightweight 100% nylon(very strong material) zips up from the crotch to the neck and has a zipper at each ankle. There are 2 front waist pockets, 2 back hip pockets and 1 breast pocket. The helmet is adjustable and made of lightweight durable plastic- I did notice that the tabs on the adjustable band seem brittle and may need to be repaired or the hat size may be taped in position. The bee mask zips onto the suit to provide a complete seal. The mask is constructed of heavy nylon netting with stiff screen ... morematerial surrounding the face, ears and back of the head, and is sewn together with canvas hemming.
