Primitive Beekeeping Bee Smoker Vintage Antique Tin with wood leather bellow
Found this old tin and wood beekeeper bee smoker at an IOWA FARM AUCTION. The smoke chamber is leather on the outside and fully intact. The tin canister has a good bit of surface rust but is still solid and has the strainer inside. Appears to have all the metal brackets that came with it originally; top removes easily. It is in decent condition and could be used as a nice display piece with a little cleaning. Any writing that was on the wood bellow has faded away. The air pumps very well and could be used if you’d like. It is 10" tall at the spout. The bellow is 7.5” Tall and 5” wide. Please email with any questions. Selling as is. As pictured with no reserve. Antique A. I. ROOT CO. Medina, OH, Wall Mount Beekeeping Hand Section Press-WOW!
This is an apparently quite rare- turn of the century to 1920- Wall Mountable. Beekeeping Tool labeled a"Hand Section Press" made in the U.S.A. and marketed by the A. I. Root Company of Medina, Ohio- Home of the Honey Bees" established in 1869 by Amos Root and still in business today. The original label- in great condition reads: For, convenience mount the press on the wall as shown in the illustration. Form the sections and place them in the press with the dovetail corner up and out. Raise the lever and press dovetail together. After extensive research. I have found nothing like this press anywhere. It appears to be a small scale version of many of the large hand-made honey presses you can find online. I found a very close match on two other small, antique wood tools that were labeled with the same label-print, lettering and ... morestyle-as this label is. One was from 1910 and the other circa 1920. The label on this press has no date but it appears to be from that era. The best guess for this antique press is circa 1910-1920. This antique"Hand Section Press" was used for small scale/home honey pressing. It appears to have been mounted, at some point, as the mounting holes have a few bits of old sawdust and a few nail nicks in them. It also looks like this press itself was never actually used. There are no signs of moisture or stickiness. The wood appears new and dry. For the most part, this antique press looks to be in near"new" antique condition. The metal side bracket and the nail that holds the bracket in place show some slight rust forming. There are also a couple of dark spots on the wooden mallet-style handle, possibly from original handling. Please see all photos and read the above condition report for the best description of this interesting antique honey-making tool. It's been in a glass display case of old tools, for at least the past 40 years, away from sunlight and handling. It was photographed here in the condition it was discovered. Antique Electric Honey Uncapping Knife Stainless steel HOT KNIFE Beekeeping
This is a cool antique Electric honey Uncapping hot knife which I believe dates from the 1940's(judging by the type of cord) The cord has no freys. Is supple and looks new despite its age. The handle has no cracks in it, the blade heats up fast and works perfect, and is bronze welded at the neck of the handle. The neck does have some light surface rust, but its minimal and could be cleaned off. The cord has a 2" spring sleeve to prevent wear where it enters the handle. This is a super well made hot knife. And would be a cool addition to your bee keeping tools. It measures 16" long(not counting where the cord sticks out of the handle)

UNIQUELY SHAPED AND RARE VINTAGE ANTIQUE BEE ETNA BEEKEEPING BELLOWS SMOKER
This is a uniquely shaped bee smoker. It has a rounded dome rather than an angled one. I looked at all the other listings and found no other smoker shaped this way. The round top is what caught my eye about it the first time I saw it because I see a lot of smokers in antique stores but not any rounded ones before. There is no makers mark that I found on it. The bellows is in good shape and still pliable. I think this smoker is stainless steel and the dirt that is on tends to flake off leaving a shiny surface below. Appears to be like a Reader's Digest on beekeeping, reprinting articles from other beekeeping journals, reporting on a convention, reviewing products, etc. All print. No illustrations except on cover. Hand-bound as a 1-signature style binding. Cover is torn 2" at the top of spine and 1" at bottom of spine, and has other wear along the spine, but it is still attached. Edges of cover has chips and short tears, and a water stain.
