Up for auction is a Beekeeper’s Uncapping Hot Knife made by the Pierce Mfg co. The model number is 1078. There is what looks like an adjusting screw underneath but as I am not a beekeeper I can only guess that this is for adjusting the temperature. I’m sure you know! The upper surface has some age related staining but the bottom is nice and smooth. I have plugged this tool in and it heats up just fine.

This is a professional uncapping knife with a preset thermostat. These knives make uncapping a breeze. The preset temperature is 120 degrees– 190 degrees. One of these uncapping knives temped out at 150 degrees. The other ran a little warm at 200 degrees. They both have been used. But work well.

Antique Electric Honey Uncapping Knife Stainless steel HOT KNIFE Beekeeping
This is a cool antique Electric honey Uncapping hot knife which I believe dates from the 1940's(judging by the type of cord) The cord has no freys. Is supple and looks new despite its age. The handle has no cracks in it, the blade heats up fast and works perfect, and is bronze welded at the neck of the handle. The neck does have some light surface rust, but its minimal and could be cleaned off. The cord has a 2" spring sleeve to prevent wear where it enters the handle. This is a super well made hot knife. And would be a cool addition to your bee keeping tools. It measures 16" long(not counting where the cord sticks out of the handle)
