My father started beekeeping as a youth in the 1940's in North Carolina, and bought these Comb Honey Boxes sometime thereafter. They have been stored since then, flat like they came from the factory. Vintage Beekeeping Hand Pump Sprayer???? Copper & Brass
Vintage Beekeeping Equipment? I am not exactly sure what this item is. I got it from the estate of an elderly gentleman who used to raise bees and sell honey. As you can see. It has a hand pump handle where you would pump powder out the fixtures. The cap unscrews on the end of the tube and the two fixtures mounted on the sides will unscrew and screw onto the end of the tube. All three caps are interchangable. I believe that it was for spraying powder into the hive but I am not sure. It has a wood handle that attaches to what looks to be a brass rod inside the tube. Outer tube looks to be copper and the screw on fixtures look to be brass. I have not tried to file a small spot on any of this item to determine exactly if it is made of brass or copper, I didn't want to mar the surface. Here is vintage bee keeping equipment. The hat has a lions international sticker on the front and band inside to keep tight to your head is broken. The hat is made of some type of resin material- lightweight. The netting which goes over the hat has holes and snags in material. The part you look thru is more rigid material with larger netting in excellent condition. The string/ rope on the top( over top of hat) seam in netting is way to long- there is no string for the lower section. There is a red piece of something- it might have been some type of elastic closure for the bottom- would make sense to me! The gloves have L for large and string proof gloves stamped on them. The ends are ragged and had elastic at one time. The gloves are stained and one hole in seam of cloth. I am selling as found- have not attempted to mend or clean any of these ... moreitems. Four dark brown ceramic spice shakers. Each with a different label. Allspice, Cinnamon, Ginger, and Paprika. All have bee finial on top with 3 holes through which to shake out your spice. Honeycomb pattern on the sides along with 2 more bees as decoration. 2 have JAPAN sticker label on the bottom. All have corked holes in bottom. Good condition, but one had chip on bottom rim which looks like it happened during the manufacturing because it is glazed over. Really it looks more like a burst bubble than a chip.

This week we are proud to offer this truly awesome antique- a fabulous Paris Porcelain vase which stands 13" tall to the rim and sports a 6" diameter waist. We are dating it to the mid 1850's only because of its provenance. But it might actually be an 18th Century treasure. As with most 18th C Paris Porcelains, it is not signed or marked on the bottom, and the gilding is slightly worn in spots from handling. But overall, we have never seen a piece of this age in better condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations and the artwork has been marvelously preserved. Beekeeping Water Jacketed Sump Tank With Heater
I have had this in storage for five years. The last time I used it. It worked very well. When my son and I took it out today, I notised the wire on the pump control, the insulatshion was cracked, and would need to be repared before use. The heater worked very well, but I warn who ever gets this, never turn on heater,with out water in the tank. If you do it will burn the heating unit out with in 60 sec. The advantage of a water-jacketed tank is that the honey can be heated quickly, so most of the foreign matter and wax will float to the top of the first compartment. The second compartment, removes any that gets past the first. As the heated honey gets to the 3ed compartment, When the honey gets to a point, the floot starts the pump control. This tank features a flanged 1-1/2" nipple at the lower center of the outlet end. There is no danger ... moreof water entering the honey compartment.
