McMartin TX-700 Speaker-Load Analyzer with internal built-in generator and detector. Complete instrument- no other equipment needed. Not a cosmetic beauty due mostly to age. This analyzer functions as new. There is no damage anywhere to the heavy steel case which provides shielding as well as rugged protection. This McMartin speaker load analyzer works perfectly and properly. It has not been repaired. Modified, or altered in any way. The case and knobs have traveled, but all switches and controls work very well and the internal circuitry is very nice. Note how clear and clean the null indicating meter is- try to disregard the vertical shadows cast in it. This impedance analyzer with its own internal generator and detector is very easy to use. Intuitive, and direct reading. There's nothing like old-school! I have tested this analyzer with ... moreboth simple and complex loads of both signs. It is remarkably accurate. I have LCR meters and when I construct a complex load and connect it to this TX-700 the null is"close enough" to the calculated impedance(r+/ j) close enough! No manual is supplied but none is required if you have basic familiarity with impedance and load concepts. After a few minutes of fun experimenting. You'll be familiar with its operation. Primarily intended to analyze the 25V. 70V, and 100V load lines commonly encountered in commercial sound work this meter indicates quite accurately even at 8-ohms and below- see front panel control Z1 range from 2.5- 25 ohms; it may be read directly or multiplied by control Z2. Nulled by Meter Zero control, the value of the impedance is directly interpreted(read) by the knob settings- with very little error! No function testing was done and unit is sold as it is. Unit doesn't have any instruction manual. This impedance bridge is in nice condition. It opens and closes well. General Radio 1650-A Self-Contained Multi-Range Impedance Bridge, 24 Pictures!!
PLEASE LET“24” PICTURES LOAD This is my 16th year on eBay. My selling philosophy remains the same. Which is Full Disclosure And Identification. I do that with very detailed descriptions where applicable and a lot of high resolution pictures so it is clear what you are about to purchase! Now to the item listed. Up for sale is a General Radio 1650-A Impedance Bridge. I installed new D cell batteries. They will be included in this sale, and tested capacitors. Inductors and resistors and everything responded as it should. All controls turn Velvet smoothly, the two round wheels will interlock and both turn as they should. Meter is also fine. I have some pictures of the meter swinging to the far left and far right of center plus the mull and zero of the 100 OHM resistor plus inductor and capacitor zero. I am not an expert but have a basic understanding ... moreof the instrument. I have sold two or three of these over the years and this is by far the cleanest one I have had. The paint is worn off around the battery cover but the battery compartment and battery tube are clean. Calibration accuracy seems good, but it has not been recently calibrated. Folding stand opens and closes and locks into place just fine. Comes with a printed Color Copy of basic operating instructions AND the 66 page Operational Manual on CD. Lots of information found on the WWW. The 1650-A Impedance Bridge was a versatile and compact instrument capable of accurate measurements of resistance. Capacitance, inductance, dissipation and quality factor over a very wide range: 1 milliohm to 11 megaohm for resistance, 1 picofarad to 1100 microfard for capacitance and 1 microhenry to 1100 Henry for inductance. Accuracy better than 1% was given for R, C and L. The 1650-A used custom made precision components for the arms of the bridge: the CRL rheostat used a mechanical justifying mechanism with eight linearizing cams; a silvered mica, high precision capacitor was used as standard capacitor. This is a General Radio LCR bridge. It's internal oscillator drives a bridge circuit off D-cells as the internal power supply. Exterior shows light wear. Interior is excellent. The bridge is fully functional. Tested, and accurate. There is no damage.
