International Farmall 1256 Turbo Diesel
I bought this tractor from a gentleman that was using it to grind feed for his cow/calf operation. He had purchased it from his neighbor awhile back who had parked it when the clutch started to slip under a load. It will drive around ok and will load on a trailer fine. But clutch will need to be replaced if you want to use it for pulling a load. It has new front tires. The rear rims are clean and there is no fluid in the tires. The back tires are aged but still plenty solid. It is factory without Torque Amplifier and has one set of remotes, but the quick couplings were robbed off of it before I picked it up, so I have plastic caps on them. It has a nice set of rear fenders with only a small ding in the bottom of the one on the left. It has the usual sloppy shifter that makes it hard to find reverse, but I saw rebuild kits on this site for ... morethem. The tractor starts and runs well and is running in the pictures. It does need a seat and a battery. The battery in it now was taken out of another tractor, and will not go with it, but I do have a battery that can be used to load it if needed. It has a few leaks as would any tractor of its age. It is missing the white side panels under the hood and one panel on the left side by the radiator and one on the floor that covers the shifter linkage. I do not have these, but I imagine they could be found in salvage yards if wanted. I have taken pictures of any welds I could find on the tractor. Overall the sheet metal is pretty good. Steering and brakes seem to work all right. The drawbar and 3 point hitch look good. I will get any other info I can for you and answer any questions. Pictures tell the rest of the story. I have described it to the best of my ability, but please keep in mind that this is an older, used tractor and probably will still need a few things to get it field ready. This is a nice John Deere 4020 diesel with an M& W turbo added. Horsepower should be somewhere around 116(Same setup as a JD 4320) The sheetmetal is in very nice condition and the paint is good too. This is not a show tractor just a great farm tractor that looks as good as it runs. Tractor has the synchro shift transmission. Dual remotes, 540 and 1000 pto, new rear rims and newer front wheels. Here is a nice Case- David Brown 1983 1490 turbo diesel 2 wheel drive tractor that runs well. This tractor has had an in tractor engine rebuild within the last 150 hours. At the rebuild a new water pump and a new rebuilt injector pump were installed. It now runs well and strong. This is a cab tractor with all glass good except the passenger side window with one crack. This tractor has the parts for both heat and air but they are not functioning. please view video. I used my tablet to take this video and must have covered the mic with my finger so the volume gets loud in parts when I move my finger off the mic.

Power steering orbital motor(under the dash) batteries and battery cables We bought this tractor right ... moreoff the farm where it was being used on a 40 cow dairy mostly for summertime work like planting. Running discbine, round baling, and hauling loads of corn silage. It was not used much in the winter, he had other chore tractors and so this tractor was never ruined by pulling manure spreader. Tractor is good and clean and very straight. It starts easy, runs smooth, has good power. Motor was major overhauled in approx 2007, has had around 1800 hours put on since. No excessive smoke or blowby. Farmer owned this machine around 20 years and it served him well. It had a cab, and thats why it has cab steps, not IH steps(could be switched if you didnt like it) All the systems work well: clutch brakes steering park gear shifting hydraulics pto 3pt charging cooling systems. Really a nice machine, easy to run and should twist around 125hp with the turbo installed, and would go more if you turned the pump a bit. bad spots on this machine: Not a whole lot to mention besides the obvious stuff. steering hydraulic ram is a little wobbly like most these'66 series tractors.
