John Deere 730 Diesel Standard Electric Start
Up for auction I have a 1960 John Deere 730 diesel standard electric start. It's serial number: 7324483. It has the rare adjustable front in good non broke condition. The tractor runs great. It does need two new battery's and a couple battery cable ends. The cables are good but the ends are junk. It has the original starter. Bracket, throttle linkages, and breather. I pull start the tractor and it starts instantly. The clutch is good and it shifts as it should. The brakes are a little weak but they aren't froze up. It is full of good clean antifreeze. The flywheel and clutch drive are both right on the splines. The fenders are in great condition with a few dents but no rusting so they would clean up nice. The hood and nose are in good condition as well. I don't see anything wrong with it other then needing some battery attention. ... moreI've used it quite a bit around the farm pulling random stuff. It hasn't let me down yet. The power steering works and the front end seams good and tight. The original tach works and reads 1745 hrs. I'm not sure if this is correct but the drawbar shows low wear. All four tires hold air. The rear rims are in good non rotted condition, and the tires are about 30% matched tread but weathered. It is missing the top pre cleaner bowl. Overall it's a nice old rare tractor. Factor electric start tractors don't show up often in this good of condition. 1960 John Deere 730 Diesel Standard
Up for auction I have a 1960 John deere 730 diesel standard. The serial number is: 7322799. The tractor originally came from out west were it had spent its life on a wheat farm with a John deere 80. It used to have a cab and I removed it since it wasn't a factory cab. It's a nice old original tractor and has never been repainted. The pony motor ran 3 years ago. I haven't had time to get it running. It will need a battery and some fresh gas and possibly a set of points. The big motor starts rite up and runs great. It is by far the best running 730 I've ever owned. It doesn't use any oil and it doesn't smoke at all hardly. The governor and motor were rebuilt by the original owner back in the 80s. He had a whole new governor case and block installed. Since the pony doesn't run we always pull start it and it starts ... moreup immediately. The flywheel and clutch driver are both good and tight on the splines. The clutch works good and the transmission shifts as it should. It is full of good antifreeze. The wiring appears to be in good shape and the original fuel gauge still works. The hood and nose are in good shape with just a couple dents and dings. The fenders aren't rusted out but have some dents that will need fixing and a couple mounting holes. All of the sheet metal could be made perfect without to much body work. John Deere 730 Gas tractor WFE 3 point Very strong runner NICE!!!
Heres a nice John Deere 730 gas tractor. Strong runner. I used it all summer for hay, plowing and discing. Wide front is nice, no cracks and only has some weld on tie rod ends, doesn't effect any operation. 3 point is good, lower arms slide in and out, uprights are pinned in place. Hydraulics are strong. Steers nice n smooth. I installed new intake and exhaust manifolds, new exhaust pipe and stack. Had the starter rebuilt and new bendix installed. Oils and filters were changed. Rear tires are decent, one is prob 60% other is prob 40% fronts could use replaced. Sheetmetal is nice, I have new grill screens for it just havent got them installed yet. Clutch has been completely rebuilt with new clutches and drive discs. All the gears work fine. Dash lights n front lights work. This is a good strong tractor that Ive wanted to keep around here ... morebut other things keep coming up and this is a toy that could use a new home. I also have the heavy narrow front for it also. 1959 John Deere 730. This is a very clean tractor restored 20 years ago and out of a private collection. Tractor has only 1581 actual hours. It is very difficult to find these low. Low hour tractors. I have owned for about 10 years. Prior to that, my neighbor had tractor for 15 to 20 years. This is a genuine 730 standard(wheatland) It has the factory 3 point hitch with top link. Very few wheatland tractors came with a 3 point. The draft arms are the square type made only for the standard and are about impossible to find. John deere steps. John deere precleaner. Up for auction we have a 1959 john deere 730 diesel standard pony start. Serial number 7314333. The tractor runs great. I haven't had the pony motor running. It last ran about 3 and a half years ago. So it's going to need a carb cleaning I'm sure and possibly a set of points. The big motor is a sound string runner tho and has great power. It always starts right up within the first 10 feet of pulling it. The transmission shifts as it should and the clutch snaps good and tight. The tractor has hydraulics and power steering. The radiator is full of good clean antifreeze and doesn't have any leaks. The tractor used to have a cab on it and we removed it. So there is a couple extra holes on the fenders here and there but they are just small 1/8in ones that could easily be repaired. The back fenders are in pretty good condition. ... moreThe right rear fender has some rusting towards the back of it. This could easily be repaired. The hood and the nose cone are fairly straight for the most part. The nose cone is painted with primer gray. All of the tin work would clean up nicely if you are planning on restoring it. Up for sale I have a 70 all fuel row crop. It has an original square tube wide front in good tight shape with no breaks or welds. And an 801 3point on the back. The tractor starts up from the push of the button. It's starts easy and runs great. It is a very strong running tractor. The clutch and brakes work great on it aswell. It shifts into all of the gears with ease. The steering is tight and easy going. All in all it is mechanically good. The only thing i noticed is that it needs manifold gaskets pretty bad. The bolts don't look like they're all rusted up so it shouldn't be too hard. It has the original all fuel manifold on it that is in great shape. There's no cracks or breaks on it. This is very hard to find an all fuel manifold with no cracks. The coolant system is full of good antifreeze and has no leaks. All four ... moretires hold air and have average tread. It has a set of original front rims in good not bent condition. The tin work is good and straight with just a couple little dings and would clean up nice. Up for auction we have a 1965 john deere 4020 serial number Snt233r095298r. I bought this tractor with the intentions to fix it up and I just never got around to it. Nor do I have the time. The tractor turns over and has good compression but I haven't tried to start it. It is going to need some fuel line work. A fuel filter, and the oil cooler that goes in front of the radiator. The last owner told me that it got parked because the oil cooler went out on it. So it is going to need attention on that side of things. The transmission shifts into all of the gears good and the clutch moves as it should. It has a rockshaft. It came with a set of lift arms for it but they are rough as pictured. It has the original toplink bracket that is usually missing. It has a pto and hydraulics. It is missing the seat bracket, all of the seat suspension ... moreis there tho. All of the tin work is what I would say is rough. It could be fixed but it is in tough shape, it's as simple as that. It's dented and would need straightening. The knee is good on the right side. But the left hand knee has been broken and repaired in the past. If I was going to restore it I would get an after market knee for it since they are available. It has the correct Highcrop oil pan and radius rods. The radius rods need some work aswell. The rear drops are in good condition with no breaks or welds that I could see. The rear tires hold air, but the fronts are junk. They will need to be replaced. So As you can see this needs some tlc and could be used as is again or it could make a nice restoration project. John Deere 730 Mexico Made
Up for auction I have john deere 730 made in Monterrey Mexico also known as a"736" Serial number 7307070. They made just under a 100 of these tractors total in Mexico so they are very hard to find! I bought this with intentions to restore it but I can't find the time to do it. So I've decided to sell it. The motor turns over and has compression. I'm not sure how long that it's been since it last ran. But the previous owner did tell me that it ran when it was parked. It is an electric start model and all of the correct electric start parts are there except for the starter. It has the correct float ride seat which many of the Mexico tractors didn't come with. Most of them had standard non float ride seats. It has a factor three point on it. It does have a couple welds on it tho. It looks to be all compete except ... morefor the starter. The tractor has potential but will need a fair amount of work to get it back in good shape. The clutch lever bracket has been broke and they welded it back on where they usually brake. I have one in non broke shape that I would sell to the new owner. The good and nose cone aren't in too bad of shape. They are both fairly straight with just a handful of smaller dents. Up for auction I have a 1958 john deere 730 propane. The tractor starts up by the push of the button and runs great. I have been using it around the farm the last couple weeks and it runs great and has lots of power. It will idle down to the point where you can almost count the fan blade revolutions. The transmission shifts into all of the gears and the clutch operates like it should. The charging system charges and the wiring is in pretty decent shape. The brakes stop on a dime. Up for auction I have a 1959 john deere 430W serial number 155828. The tractor starts by the push of the button and runs out good. It had been sitting for a couple years. I changed the points and it fired right up and has great oil pressure. It could maybe use a carb kit but the more I run it the better it's gotten. It has good power and doesn't smoke. The coolant system is full of antifreeze and doesn't leak. It has factory powersteering which is a very rare option on these! Very few came with the factory power steering system. It also has a float ride seat on it. Floatride seats alone bring $500.00 for a 430. It also has a set of hydraulic remotes and live pto. Aswell as a 5 speed transmission. Up for auction I have a john deere 730 That was made in Mexico serial number 7307070. The tag is stamped that it was made in Mexico as shown in the picture. Less then 90 of these we're produced In Monterey Mexico making them very sought after. I bought this tractor off of a friend of mine with intentions of restoring it. I have since decided to get rid of it and free up some room. The tractor turns over and seams to have good compression. It ran about 10 years ago. But hasn't ran since. I noticed that the clutch is going to need to be rebuilt. Along with several other odds and ends. The tires are 100% shot. They will all need to be replaced. Up for auction I have a 1859 John deere 830432. I believe this tractor to be an industrial tractor. I bought this out of a collection and the previous owner claimed it had been restored as an ag tractor but was an industrial. The underneath of the hold and several other areas are bleeding yellow paint through. Even under where the emblem Used to be is original industrial yellow. The previous owner included and original industrial front axle with the tractor that he said came off the tractor. I will be listing the front axle in a separate auction. Up for auction I have a 1957 john deere 820 rice special serial number 8203595. This tractor is the hard to find rice version with the big rubber(23.1 26) and mud shields that cover the axles and brakes as pictured. The tractor starts up and runs absolutely perfect. The guy I had bought it off of said that it was running a thresher and broke the crankshaft on the clutch pulley. So the owner at that time took it to deere and had a brand new crankshaft installed and the motor was rebuilt at that time as well. This was done In the 80s and it has about a 1000 hrs of run time on it since the rebuild. It runs absolutely perfect and doesn't miss a beat. I just put new coils and a carb kit in the pony. Up for auction I have a 1935 John deere D. This came out of a collection that I bought out. The tractor ran two years ago. I can't get it to have any spark so that's about as far as I've gotten with it. The mag looks good. Carb looks good, and the fuel tank looks to be good too. The tractor turns over and has good compression. I don't think it would take much to get it going once you get spark. I was going to get it up and running but I just don't have the time to put towards it. It shifts into all of the gears. Everything moves like it should. Clutch snaps in and out like it should. It seams to be a pretty tight old tractor. The fenders are rough on the bottom foot or so like usual. These can be bought new for very reasonable. It has the original steel all around in great shape. No cracks or welds from what I could see ... moreanywhere. It even has the rare extensions on the back wheels! Wow! It is missing a couple lugs I noticed. They can be obtained fairly easy. Up for auction I have a 1958 John Deere crawler 440C. Serial number 441351. It starts up by the push off a button. It runs very smooth. The transmission goes into all gears and the clutch works just like it should! The steering works in both directions. Both levers also may need some adjusting. The loader hydraulics operate fast and smooth. I recently lifted up a 3.000 lbs tractor rear-end with it and it handled it fine. Has 4 weights on rear end of it. Undercarriage is in good shape. About 60% of it remains and the radiator is full of anti-freeze. The bottom of the front cast iron nose is broken off at that bottom. Up for auction I have a 1959 John deere 430 Lp 143058. This is a rare Dubuque. 1 of only 88 produced making this a very hard tractor to find. The tractor starts up and runs perfect. I just rebuilt the motor in it and it has just shy of an hour of run time on it since. It idles down to almost a dead stop. The radiator is full of good clean coolant. The transmission shifts into all of the gears as it should. The transmission has the unusual noise that these Dubuque have in the higher range gears. The clutch operates good and smooth. The steering is good and tight and doesn't have slop in it like they usually do. The pto operates like it should. It has a full three point hitch including the top link. The tractor is compete except for it is missing the generator. The tin work is all in fairly good condition. It has a couple small dents and ... moredings but it would straighten out with ease. The rear fenders aren't rusted out and only have a couple small dents. The rims are all in good shape and the rear tires have good tread and hold air. They are mix matched tread tho. The frontend has no breaks or welds that I could see. All in all this is a very unique and excellent tractor. It would go great in a collection or you could use it around the farm too.
