1971 International Harvester 856 Farmall IH tractor w/ cab, loader, M&W turbo
Farmall 856 w/ cab and Stanhoist Loader This tractor came from an estate near Lincoln Nebraska. Been sitting in a shed for last 3 years. It is a 1971 model, hour meter says 6300 but doesn't work, factory cab in pretty good shape, heat, no ac. This tractor has all the factory options- tilt steering, hydro cushion deluxe seat, dual remotes, dual(540& 1000rpm) PTO, 3 point hitch. Engine runs great. Very snappy and lots of power, starts right up, even in cold weather. Has a block heater. Outfitted with the M&W turbo setup. Shifts into all gears, no noises or clunks, T/A slips in low side(typical IH trait) Clutch and brakes fine. Front spindle"knee" is cracked(see pic) No big oil leaks anywhere. New batteries. The loader is a Stanhoist. It functions but has been welded up a few times. The bucket is sprung, pins are loose. ... moreCylinders hold good, no leaks. What I have for sale today is a very nice International Farmall 656 Gas Hydro tractor. Tach is showing 2253 hours, I believe that those hours are correct. Paint is original, sheet metal is very nice with the exception of a small dent on top of the hood, which I believe would pop right out. Rear tires are 80% or better, tractor could use new front tires. Tractor also could use a new set of seat cushions. Now. When I acquired the tractor the engine had a miss in it. After doing a compression check, No. 6 cylinder was dead. After removing the head it was discovered that something had happened, No.6 cylinder was scored and the valves were beat up pretty good.Snap ring on the wrist pin broke) So, the engine of this tractor has been overhauled, at that time I installed New Sleeves, Pistons, Rings, Rod& Main Bearings, Thermostat, belts, air ... morefilter, head was gone through by a profession head shop and a valve job was done at that time, new spark plugs, and all related gaskets. This tractor has about 1 hour run time on the new motor. Also the radiator has been replaced at some time in its life. Tractor has 2 hydraulic valves. 540 PTO, IH Fast Hitch, runs and drives good. As far as the Hydro Transmission goes, it drives good and functions properly, I have not used the tractor much do to the in climate weather we have had around here. I am selling this because I have to many tractors. If that's possible, and this one will just set around. It is a very nice original tractor, It would make someone a nice collector tractor or good old work horse. 1980 International Harvester Tractor Cab/Air Duals
This is a very good International Harvester Tractor. I have owned this tractor for almost 3 years and have used it on my farm often. It has plenty of power and hasn't used any noticeable oil between oil changes. It smokes a little when it is first started. But clears up after it warms up. The tractor has about 7500 hours and is in excellent working condition. The cab, sheet metal, frame, rims, etc. have little or no corrosion. The rubber is in fair condition but has plenty of traction and has no current leaks. The rear dual wheels can be removed if desired. The air works and holds charge. This tractor shifts solid and right. Some of these tractors had issues with lots of slop in the shifting mechanism, but this one is solid and smooth. Some minor oil leaks drips are present, but have only added a couple of gallons a year to the hydraulic ... moresystem. The engine RPM readout isn't functioning correctly, but I have made a mark on the throttle indicating the proper speed when running a PTO driven piece of equipment. This tractor would be perfect for a farmer that needs plenty of real old fashioned American Horsepower to pull discs or a big bat-wing. Again, I am not a tractor broker. I have used this tractor on my farm. The only reason I am selling is that I bought a new tractor last year and no longer have a use for it. This tractor is solid and tough, I couldn't sell it otherwise. All that being said, to the best of my knowledge this tractor is in excellent working condition and it looks great. However it is a piece of used equipment, so I must sell with no warranty implied or expressed. It is being sold as is and where is. But the hour meter only shows 1,150 hours. I checked the compression and it is 140 psi on all 4 cylinders. These were built from 1958 to 1962, I think. About 30 hp. Has the C123 engine. PTO. I can haul a reasonable distance, help load, etc. Box scraper not included.

International harvester 884 tractor with 2250 loader. 72hp 4900 hours. TA works good. 540 and 1000 rpm shafts. Runs good with no smoke or leaks on the engine. The loader is in great shape with no ware at any of the pins. No cracks or welds. The bucket is good with little ware. 3point hitch works good. 1 set of rear weights. Good tires. All lights flashers and turn signals work. One flasher lens is cracked. The fender light housings are rusted out on the lower outer corners. 1 loader lift cylinder started to leak but not bad. The starter solenoid will need replaced. You have to turn the key several times to get it to crank over. I have replaced the water pump fan belt all radiator hoses and thremostat. Great condition.Runs excellent! This tractor is extremely rare, there are VERY FEW Gibson tractors with a Steering wheel, and this is one of the few and scarce survivors. the rear brakes are not hooked up, but I have all of the original parts. We just drop the rear blade to stop it currently. It has a Wisconsin one cylinder engine that runs excellent, It was completely rebuilt a few years ago( I don't know how many hours, but it has excellent compression) It has brand new exhaust with a flapper cap. It has a new drive chain, and an extra 7 lineal feet of brand new chain that goes with it as well, so you could make another 3 chains out of the 7 foot chain whenever the old ones get stretched out too far. The front tires are brand new, the back tires were brand new a few years ago, so they have new tread.but some weather cracking. All of ... morethe tires hold air nicely. It has all 4 brand new drive belts, New fluids, new weather grommet on shifter, and new paint I start the motor by putting my drill on the crank shaft socket with the right socket on the end of my drill and it starts right up every time! I also have a rope pulley( like the originally used to start engine) that goes with it as well. The tractor is located in St. George.
