This is a very high performance piece of test gear that I sought out a few years ago as part of setting my bench up to handle higher end tuner and receiver tuner alignments. I wanted a stereo generator with exceptional S/N, distortion, and separation specs for that purpose, and the VP-7635A while an older model, meets those requirements. In fact, it's better in those areas than many newer FM generators: 90dB S/N. Distortion floor in the 0.01-0.05% range, and 66dB separation. It also generates traffic information signals for car radios(US and EBU spec) But that feature isn't anything I would likely need.
