This was made in the USA by Frank Holton& Co.great Vintage instrument for Drum Corps buffs.since this horn was manufactured the activity added a rotor.and then went to 2 valve bugles and then to 3 valve bugles.THIS ONE IS A SINGLE VALVE PISTON Serial Number 811718. The bell is marked 371018. The tuba plays but it needs some repairs and a good bath. Please bid accordingly. It is about 48" tall and the bell is 22" with a 6 1/4" tenon. The 4 valves move smoothly. Three of the pistons have tarnish spots and 2 have small dents at the bottom. All 7 tuning slides move freely. One water key is bent and the other one is good. The bell bolts are missing. The leadpipe ... morebrace. Several other braces and a few joints have solder repairs. The thumb ring and the knob on one tuning slide is missing. The#3 tuning slide has a small patch on the crook. There are 7 patches inside the lower inside crook. see picture 23-24) The patchs over lap each other like shingles. I marked them with green painters tape.
