This is a writing device for the blind. Developed by Howe Press of Perkins School for the Blind, made in Wa tertown. Mass. This was used to produce r eading matter for th e blind. I don't know if it works be cause I don't know how to work it. But I was told it is fully functional. The brailler comes complete in the original box& packaging, there is a manual(in braille) included with additional braille printed material& 2 original advertising flyers. I can almost make out the print as saying. Press or Print? but the words are not quite legible. I have flopped the image over in the first two scans for you to attempt to read the placard for yourself. No matter what. You are considering a rare image composed with many of these pieces of printed matter that these folks thought was important enough to display while having their image taken.
