The only thing I see wrong is that the motor is missing and the bottom of one foot is missing. The pulley is 24" in diameter and 1-1/2" wide. Maytag Meat Grinder Vintage Gas Engine Hit Miss Enterprise #12 Deer Camp Sausage
This offering is for a Restored-Reconditioned Maytag Meat Grinder attachment for the Maytag Washing machine provided by Maytag in the day. Circa 1928. Complete with the sausage stuffer tube. This one is marked with the Maytag name. This grinder with the one handle gear box would have come with the model 20-60-62-A-B-90-91-92-30-31-31 just about every washer built up into the 1940 era. This came from the Larry Benton Collection. Larry totally dismantled the gear box. And the grinder was also and cleaned to perfection. The sausage stuffer spout has great original plating still in place. This was set up for display but it could easily be put to use. Many people still use these at Deer Camp to grind the Deer burger and sausage. We will package and ship this with the US Postal Service. Offered is an old Maytag No. 6 wrench. For use with their small gasoline engines. Although I'm calling it a used wrench, I really can't see much indication that it was ever used. The wrench is 5-1/2 inches long and weighs about 2.6 ounces. The wrench lays flat and none of the openings or screwdriver are deformed. Most have their original plating inside. I didn't wire brush this wrench. The dark spots are plating loss(which isn't very thick on these wrenches) and tarnish. There is only one spot that actually shows old rust and it is shown in the last picture. This wrench could be brightened up some with a wire wheel. But I've left that to the new owner. Antique Vintage Hit Miss This listing is for an Antique Hit Miss Gas or Fuel Tank on Stand This is an old gas or fuel tank for a stationary engine. It is a nice smaller size. The tank is held on the short stand by two straps. I took it off the stand to check the bottom of the tank. Which looks good. There is a fuel gauge on the one side and a petcock& sediment bowl on a different side. There is a drainplug on the bottom accessable through a hole in the stand platform. I have never used this so I do not know the condition of that fuel gauge. There is rust/rusting inside so it would need to be cleaned out. Small shallow dent on the top that is hard to see and I have include a photo to try to show this. The petcock& sediment bowl would be taken off for shipping. Shipping cost is based on the assembled tank on stand. Overall height with ... moretank on the stand is 34 inches to the top of the tank filler neck& cap(It is 30-1/2" just to the top of the tank without the filler neck& gas cap) Overall width on the stand is apprx 20 inches. Here is an antique cast iron wheel. This is a single wheel that is 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The axel hole is 7/8 inches in diameter. The tread is 1 1/8 inches across.This wheel would be a great addition to a collection of wheels decorating your home or garden. Vintage Hand made hit miss engine hay baler ~Cooper Bessemer~WOW
Great hand made Hit Miss Hay baler. I bought this item about ten years ago at an auction in Knox county Ohio. It was made about 40 years ago by a man who worked at Cooper Bessemer as a machinist in Mount Vernon Ohio. I was told he made many small scale gas and steam engines. He demonstrated and made small hand tied bales of straw and sold them at local steam and gas shows. The Hit Miss engine looks to be hand made as well as the hay baler. The Hay baler has a slip type belt clutch to ingage hopper plunger and ram. Spark is provided by a 110 volt transformer. I am no expert on Hit Miss engines but it has good spark. Compression and looks complete except for a gas line. It measures 48 inches long, 16 inches high and 9 inches wide and weighs about 65 Lbs. Shipping will be in two boxes. A vintage bench grinder made of cast iron. The overall width is apr. 10 1/4 inches. The height is apr. 5 1/2 inches. The base is apr. 5 3/4 X 4 7/8 inches. The bolt hole slots are apr. 3 5/8 X 4 1/4 inches center to center. The grinder was taken apart to make sure there was no rusted/ stuck screws. Bolts, etc. One of the tool rest is missing. Three of the four collars appear to be original and the fourth is a plain washer. We did not notice any damage. Will need to be cleaned. You will get your hands dirty from handling this. The grinder weighs under 9 lbs. before packaging. The pictures should show the rest. Plenty of lighting was used to show as much detail as possible. THIS IS A ORIGINAL CONDITION FLAT BELT DRIVE WINCH. COULD BE USED ON A STATIONARY HIT AND MISS OR STEAM ENGINE. ALSO COULD BE MOUNTED TO A TRACTOR OR DOZER. OR WOOD HAULING EQUIPMENT. AND RUN OFF THE FLAT BELT PTO. IT IS BIG. THE MAIN GEAR IS 18" AND THE DRIVE GEAR IS 3 1/2" THE FLAT BELT PULLEY IS 11 1/2" DIAMETER. AND 5" WIDE. IT HAS A HAND BRAKE THAT MOVES AND SEEMS TO ENGUAGE. vintage easy hit and miss washer engine
I have had many of these engines.I used to go to a lot of gas engine shows in central new York near where this engine was built.But this was the first and last one that I had with a brass flywheel.Me and my dad started this and showed it about 10 years ago.it was one of his favorites.it runs good,but the kick starter was removed and put a rope cup on it.The original kick starter is still with it it is dirty from sitting on a barn shelf for many years(it appears to have a homemade carb and gas tank on it although I don't remember putting them on there.This engine is very,very rare with a brass flywheel.I sold 2 others this past season at the pageant of steam in Canandaigua NY for 575.00 each without the brass flywheels I would had sold this as well but I didn't have it with me
