ZEISS OPHTHALMIC SLIT LAMP and TOPCON ELECTRIC TABLE
Here for sale is a good working condition Carl Zeiss slitlamp and electric Topcon table. The slitlamp also includes a Zeiss tonometer attachment. As stated. The slitlamp works fine but I want to describe in as acurate detail any problems that the unit might have. As far as I can tell there are two problems with the unit. As stated the slitlamp works very well. Its oculars and movement is fine. All lenses work as they are supposed to work. The ruby lens is slightly stiff but glides appropriately and correctly. The tonometer head is fine. The most notable issue on the lamp is the black casing that surrounds the controls for the lamp and slit is cracked. The controls work fine and the instrument performs as it is supposed to but the casing is cracked. I have included a close up of the area. This is only the black plastic and has nothing to do ... morewith the functioning of the lamp itself which is completely fine. Next, the table is a $1500 Topcon heavy duty table. It is heavy which has to be reflected in the shipping costs. The table functions perfectly but will need replacement belts. There are two that are easily replaced. They are small and have the appearance of vacuum cleaner belts. Other than those two issues this combination is excellent. The tonometer head is included which is a $700 item if added separately. I will ship this item within the lower 48 states. Shipping will be $289. It will be separated into two pieces for shipping purposes and will ship as freight. However, I will be very careful to pack well. Before anyone asks the items cannot be separated for sale. If you want one you must buy the whole. Please see all pictures. The stand and instruments are in nice shape and work as designed with some visible wear. The tonometer appears to be within calibration limits(tip teeters between 1-1.4 on the dial) The overhead lamp works as well. All that you see in the photos is included. This auction is for the stand and the metal plate that you see in the photos. You would need additional hardware to mount a slit lamp to this base. The base has a pedal for adjusting the height. I got this with a slit lamp. But I do not need the base. It appears to be"like new" The yellow straps you see are for security when shipping. Shipping cost will vary with carrier and distance shipped. But this is heavy. There will be a packing charge of $25 in addition to any shipping cost. This is NOT a power table.
