These were found in storage at an estate closeout. The family says they have been in storage for decades. They were stored in these hard white plastic cases and inside they were padded with foam housing. The foam padding eroded into dust on all over time. It looks as though the glass though cleans up very well. I cleaned off about a dozen and took some close-up photos. They appear to be 75mm diameter glass for grinding down and making eyeglasses(thanks to another ebay party for letting me know what I had) Each has either a stenciled or hand etched mark showing the prescription through that glass. The cases as well are marked where to store each plate. These will take a lot of cleaning. Each convex plate is 75mm in diameter. 25 cases. With 8 in each case(some cases are missing tops) Plus a few more = 200+ plates. I guess eyeglasses are now ... moremade with plastic. So I don't know if anyone has a use for these.
