This listing is for one Very Old Late 1800's Julius King Optical Company Trial Lens Set with an American Optical Trial Lens Frame. There are a total of 81 assorted Cylindrical and Spherical Convex and Concave lenses. The condition of the lenses are good over all. I'm not sure that each lens matches the slot in the case. The case is in a very interesting"aged" state. There is no longer a bottom or a flip cover to this case and the leather has peeled and cracked. I have sold these in the past that have had the lenses fashioned for both eyeglasses and sunglasses. One customer of mine customized sunglass lenses to fit the frame for the Burning Man Festival. Another wore the frame as it was, without adding a lens. Strong spring hinges hold the frame on the face with a plastic nose piece for comfort. Everything else is aluminum. But Vintage items are often delicate and difficult to ship, and should not be purchased by someone who has the mindset, If I don't like it after I get it I can just return it. Often I am selling items for very little over what I pay for it, the last thing I want to do is pay one-way shipping charges on an item, and then unpack and examine and then repack and re-list my item. I am also faced with the possibility that my returner will not pack well and the item will come back broken or damaged.
