I am not an expert on this unit so you are buying this item as is. I did observe the following when turning it on: Unit turns on and screen goes on as well. There is NO flickering at all on the screen. When moving anything in front of the camera the image is visible on the screen and very sharp so the camera and screen is working fine. Unit is in a nice cosmetic condition- When holding the printer button while turning the power on the printer works well and prints the full width of the paper. All of the buttons seem to respond when pressed. When rotating the joystick the elevation is very smooth and works up and down. When joystick is pressed the machine focuses and gives a reading. When machine is in auto mode. Readings start to take place as soon as the patient’s eye is in center. From Nidek web site I was able to find the key features of this unit. This came from a long established opthalmologist that passed away recently, and his estate was sold off. It was in storage for ~20 + years, and was covered in dust.
