I am the original owner of this headboard. I purchased the bedroom set in 1963. The furniture has been well maintained and although it is 50 years old. This headboard was stored away safely for 16 years while I used twin beds. The back is stamped"Walnut, Rosewood and Pecan" which may apply to the whole set, not necessarily the headboard. I don't know if the inserts are Rosewood or Pecan. The drawer pulls on the dresser are accented with a different wood but I've never known which was which. I recently purchased the same headboard in king size for the twin beds together and it has worn areas and has been touched up and smells like crayons. Well. I am stuck but this beautiful headboard needs a good home. I have only used"Old English" on it and it is in fantastic shape. The following is his writeup: Captain's desk. 32" high by 21" wide by 20" deep. Height to writing surface is 27" at front, 29" at back, has 18" wide by 5 1/4" deep raised compartment with hinged lid. Skil 100 planer plane& Pecan box This is a used skil planer in good working condition. The cord and cord protector. Brushes and blades have been replaced. The unit was disassembled and cleaned the bearings where inspected. The planer was sanded down and the powder coating removed and polished up a bit. Some of the scratches that where deep were not able to be removed. As you can see in the pictures the top of the foot of the planer was repainted and clear coated. Up for bid is this Beautiful Monkeywood Table and four pecan chairs. This was sold as a set in Hawaii in 1958. These came from the original family that purchased them new in 1958. I will include in the sale the contact information to the original owners and letter written by original family members. The letter I have states.The table and chairs were purchased on the big island of Hawaii the year of 1958 for my grandmother and shipped back to Seattle. She passed away in 1969. My older brother acquired and refinished a few months later. He than gave it to my mother for the kitchen in the house we built for her. This was in Fedralway.Washington were it steyed until she passed in 2011. My father than gave it to me.The gentlemen signed the letter and gave contact information just in case someone would like to discuss it further.
