Maple syrup sap pump bronze brass stainless transfer pump Marine Products
Used Marine Products Model R11 Naval bronze/brass pump with stainless steel shaft. This pump is 1-1/2" X 1-1/4" X 4" impeller. I do not have hard flow data. But at ~1500 RPM and depending on your hoses and lift arrangement, should pump 20-30 GPM. If primed and used with a foot valve, it will lift out of a barrel with no problem. My father bought this un-used in the 1960's from and Army surplus store. It may have been designed as a bilge pump. I rigged it up to pump sap in the 1980's. And used it for 3 or 4 seasons until I got all my trees on a gravity system. I used it with a 3-1/2 HP Briggs engine as displayed in photos. NOTE: The engine is just for display and DOES NOT come with this but I am including the base plate. I put a brand new bearing in today. And it is ready for work! These have been used. They all still have a piece of rigid tubing attached as seen in the pictures. If you have the time to remove the previous tubing then this is the auction for you. Their condition is mostly"good. None are terrible. But they've been nicked up from usage so I won't try and fool anyone by saying they're"excellent. The price is close to fair. I would say that if you're in the market for pristine taps, then you'll want to pass on this auction and buy new from a maple dealer. But if you have time to sit down in a chair and work on removing the tubing that's still on them then you'll keep yourself from having to pay for new taps. I've cleaned up a couple hundred used taps in the past and sold them on ebay, but I have a youngster now and don't have the time to get these prepped.
