Antique Akron Brass Fire Nozzle-Akro Ball Valve-1/2 inch Smooth Bore Tip
Akron Brass Fire Nozzle This is a wondeful brass fire nozzle manufactured by the Akron Brass Company. It has the Akro Ball shut off and a 1/2 inch tip. Marked Akron on the top with Wooster O on the bottom. On the back is the Akron ball stamp. The tip is marked with the 1/2 designation. The tip screws off to change tip sizes. Both the tip and the nozzle have the original seals and they look good. No dry rot. The nozzle functions properly with smooth opening and closing. No issues works great. The bale is nice and tight. It has been polished but not lacqured so you can give it another polish if you like. Its 8 inches tall and has the 1 1/2 thread size. Take a look at the many close up pictures to see the wonderful condition. I will ship it out in one or less days and pack it right. It stands 30” tall and weighs in at 8 pounds. They copper body has only some minor dents and the piece has a beautiful patina. I've been told this is known as a smooth bore play pipe. Vintage Akron Brass Nozzle Plus Powhatan Nozzle
This listing is for two vintage brass firefighter nozzles. The first is made by Akron Brass 10012(1 4 nap) It appears to be in excellent working condition. However, I'm not familiar with these items, so if you have any questions please ask before bidding. I do not see any damage to either nozzle. The second is made by Powhatan. Printed on the base says 2 Powhatan NPSH. It also appears to be in excellent shape. These items were purchased at an estate sale of a former fireman. Up for auction is a chrome Akron playpipe with a Turbojet nozzle. The playpipe inlet is 2.5" NH NS NST(national standard fire hose thread) and the discharge plus turbojet fog nozzle is 1.5" NH NS NST. The Turbojet adjusts from 120 to 250 GPM then flush. The closed valve did not leak when I blew air into it. The valve handle will stay up and is not loose like some of the other playpipes that are on eBay. I have sold about a half dozen of these and all the handles including this one have had cracks in them but they still hold the nozzle firmly. This is the last one I have. The teeth still spin and it is only missing one tooth. This one has scratches from normal use. AKRON FIRE HOSE NOZZLE Double Handle Patented 2-11-1930
This is a large brass fire nozzle coated with either chrome or nickel. It has seen use but appears to be in working condition. The valve works easily and if you have a 2 1/2 to 3 inch hose to put it on. You're in business. I don't know how they measure fire hoses. It's fairly large, about 20 or more inches long and about 12 inches wide and weighs about 21 pounds. My plan was to make a lamp out of it but I have too many other projects. I'm putting a reserve price of $60 on it which is basically what I could get if I sold it for scrap brass but hopefully someone will rescue it. Akron Akromatic 1.5 inch pistolgrip automatic fog nozzle
This is a Akron Akromatic 5028 nozzle. This nozzle in its current condistion can not be used for firefighting. It appears the nozzle may have been dragged. It can be repaired for use. You would need to get the repair kit for the nozzle. The bale is damaged and the pistol grip is cracked. Akron does not make this nozzle any longer, thier website states that parts are available to repair. I am not sure of what year it was made, thier website states it was discontinued in 2002. I would have to say that this nozzle is arround that time frame. The nozzle would be a great piece for a collector or someone looking to restore a fire truck. If you have any questions please ask.

Akron 3 inlet Deluge gun fire truck nozzle
3 inlet aluminum akron deluge gun less stream straitener and tips. National standard threads. Came from a Chicago Suburban department. I have the two original factory wheel spin on locks that came with this gun to mount it to a couple threaded rod bolts that will be included if you want them for free. I can get her to Jackson on the 21st for the fire flea market for no charge. The handle has a hole drilled in it as seen in the second pic. Exterior shows substantial scraping. Attachment collar says 1.5" Seems bigger than that but what do I know. Akron zerotorque Saber Jet nozzle
I have for bids a Akron Saber Jet zero torque nozzle. The nozzle has 2 1/2" NST threads. Smooth bore has a 15/16 bore. The nozzle is in almost new condition and has never seen a fire. Up for sale is a firefighting gear lot. Included are a nozzle. Discharge pipe, and adapter(s) Pictures 5-9 detail the star item of this lot. The Akron Brass style 488 discharge pipe stream shaper. It has built in fins to maximize reach on any monitor. While the adapters both have 2.5NH printed on them and most information I'm finding lists items in this lot as 2.5" I'm going to provide actual measurements that I've taken by hand to be sure you know exactly what to expect. The black end(nozzle end) measures 3" at the threads and the other end is very close to 2.5" End to end it is 15" long. The condition is well represented in the photos. It shows obvious signs of use but has no major condition defects, and all threads work properly. Pictures 2-4 show the Nemco"Inspector's Hydrant Flow Nozzle" ... moreIt is in excellent condition. Signs of use certainly exist. But from all appearances only relatively light use. Etched into the side is"Co=.88" and this etching measures about 1" long and 1/4" tall. Threads are in good working order and the seal/gasket looks very good, no cracking. Pictures 10-12 detail the adapters. The small black Adapter is an Akron Brass 2.5NH rigid female female. It's condition is good. The only noticeable issue is a couple of dings on one of the grip knobs, and this is not a significant defect in any way. Inside the female threads measures very close to 2.5" The other half of what you see is a 30 degree swivel elbow adapter. I'm not certain of the manufacturer but based on a little research I've found some that appear nearly identical produced by Kochek. The only thing printed on it is"2.5NH" It is in good condition as well. The swivel spins freely, although I can hear some rattling in the bearings. Inside the female threads on the swivel end measures 3" Now there is an issue overall with these 2 adapters and that is that they are attached and I cannot get them to release from each other. Vintage circa 1960 Akron Brass Auto Stream Fire hose nozzle This vintage fire hose nozzle is over 50 years old and in very good condition. The button and pins work smoothly. I don't have a fire hose to connect this to. But ran it under water, and the water flows freely in the settings it should, slower in other settings, and shuts off as well. There is some green paint towards the base of the nozzle, and some glue residue on the front side. This is a great piece to add to your collection.
