Antique Akron Brass Fire Nozzle-Akro Ball Valve-1/2 inch Smooth Bore Tip
Akron Brass Fire Nozzle This is a wondeful brass fire nozzle manufactured by the Akron Brass Company. It has the Akro Ball shut off and a 1/2 inch tip. Marked Akron on the top with Wooster O on the bottom. On the back is the Akron ball stamp. The tip is marked with the 1/2 designation. The tip screws off to change tip sizes. Both the tip and the nozzle have the original seals and they look good. No dry rot. The nozzle functions properly with smooth opening and closing. No issues works great. The bale is nice and tight. It has been polished but not lacqured so you can give it another polish if you like. Its 8 inches tall and has the 1 1/2 thread size. Take a look at the many close up pictures to see the wonderful condition. I will ship it out in one or less days and pack it right. Its in very good condition with no dents in it. There are some scratches to the nozzle from years of use. It stands 30” tall and weighs in at 8 pounds. They copper body has only some minor dents and the piece has a beautiful patina. I've been told this is known as a smooth bore play pipe. Nice used Grant Portable Multiversal Monitor made by Akron Brass. This is all aluminum construction with 3 Inlets that are 2 1/2" NH-NST thread. Comes with stream straightner and 3 tip's 2 1/2" 1 3/4" 1 1/2" with a 1 1/2" diameter opening. Stream straightner and tip's measure 28 1/2" overall length. Does not have any spiked feet in the leg's for ground use this was mounted on the truck with bolts thru the leg's with the holes in them. I will include the mounting bolt's when I ship it. It is 6-1/4" x 6-1/4" and has 3 threaded holes on the back. The second item is a 19" Akron Brass Wrench, No. 19. Not sure that it's brass, but that is what it says on the wrench. The paint is chipped and there is some corrosion, but there aren't any cracks or breaks. The third item is a reflective red license plate"Westfield Fire Dept. The white lettering and trim has heavy wear. There is corrosion and rust, and some black stains on the front and the back. There is also a big scrape on the top line of the first E. Vintage Akron Brass Nozzle Plus Powhatan Nozzle
This listing is for two vintage brass firefighter nozzles. The first is made by Akron Brass 10012(1 4 nap) It appears to be in excellent working condition. However, I'm not familiar with these items, so if you have any questions please ask before bidding. I do not see any damage to either nozzle. The second is made by Powhatan. Printed on the base says 2 Powhatan NPSH. It also appears to be in excellent shape. These items were purchased at an estate sale of a former fireman. From the Akron Brass site: For splitting one line into two. Used at the fire scene to split a hydrant outlet into two lines and increase operational effectiveness. Features self-locking Tork-Lok handles for positive handle positioning and easy adjustment. This valve has an adaptor inlet fitting to accommodate a 3" line in that can be removed for a 2 1/2" in. Output threads are both 2 1/2" Paint has nicks from being tossed around. But valve handles work positively and smoothly. The threads are perfectly undamaged.

I believe the previous owner was a member of a Connecticut Fire House quite some time back. The valve stands approx 11” 5” across, 5” depth, one connector is 3” the other is 2 ½” It is heavy! Two of the“keys” measure 5” length the other is 4” Condition: Used. This piece has ample dings and scratches and was obviously in heavy use. Which in my opinion gives it that really cool patina. Akron Brass 488 discharge pipe w/ swivel elbow adapter & Nemco flow nozzle, 2.5"
Up for sale is a firefighting gear lot. Included are a nozzle. Discharge pipe, and adapter(s) Pictures 5-9 detail the star item of this lot. The Akron Brass style 488 discharge pipe stream shaper. It has built in fins to maximize reach on any monitor. While the adapters both have 2.5NH printed on them and most information I'm finding lists items in this lot as 2.5" I'm going to provide actual measurements that I've taken by hand to be sure you know exactly what to expect. The black end(nozzle end) measures 3" at the threads and the other end is very close to 2.5" End to end it is 15" long. The condition is well represented in the photos. It shows obvious signs of use but has no major condition defects, and all threads work properly. Pictures 2-4 show the Nemco"Inspector's Hydrant Flow Nozzle" ... moreIt is in excellent condition. Signs of use certainly exist. But from all appearances only relatively light use. Etched into the side is"Co=.88" and this etching measures about 1" long and 1/4" tall. Threads are in good working order and the seal/gasket looks very good, no cracking. Pictures 10-12 detail the adapters. The small black Adapter is an Akron Brass 2.5NH rigid female female. It's condition is good. The only noticeable issue is a couple of dings on one of the grip knobs, and this is not a significant defect in any way. Inside the female threads measures very close to 2.5" The other half of what you see is a 30 degree swivel elbow adapter. I'm not certain of the manufacturer but based on a little research I've found some that appear nearly identical produced by Kochek. The only thing printed on it is"2.5NH" It is in good condition as well. The swivel spins freely, although I can hear some rattling in the bearings. Inside the female threads on the swivel end measures 3" Now there is an issue overall with these 2 adapters and that is that they are attached and I cannot get them to release from each other. Vintage circa 1960 Akron Brass Auto Stream Fire hose nozzle This vintage fire hose nozzle is over 50 years old and in very good condition. The button and pins work smoothly. I don't have a fire hose to connect this to. But ran it under water, and the water flows freely in the settings it should, slower in other settings, and shuts off as well. There is some green paint towards the base of the nozzle, and some glue residue on the front side. This is a great piece to add to your collection.
