Fantastic Antique MARS Fire Engine Chiefs Car Emergency Light Cherry Top RB10
THIS WORKS! It revolves without issue but one of the lights is burnt out and needs to be replaced. This is an older version of the MARS RB-10 Fire Engine Light. It has the classic cherry top globe which is plastic but has no cracks or chips and minimal scuffing if any. The chrome is very good with some light marks. I have shown many pictures of the chrome so you can see what I am talking about. It is not pitting but a very light tarnish of some kind. There is one small dent that you can see in the 6th photo. This is LARGE! There are some screws missing along the bottom and the screws that hold the globe in place are also missing. As stated before. It spins fine. It has been electrified with a switch cord but that can be easily removed. I like this myself and have a reserve on it because if it does not make the price, I will keep it. Mars Signal Co. Inc The Light From Mars Skybolt SW2. RED Rotating Beacon Light. The unit is in NEAR MINT condition. It was installed on a Fire Rescue Boat for a boat show display when it was new and then taken off and stored for well over 30 years. This particular unit must have been made just after the company moved to Florida because the serial number tag says the company address is Naples. FL but on top of the dome, cast into the plastic it shows Chicago, IL but with no production records being kept by TRI LITE MARS in Chicago there is no way to identify the year of manufacture. This is a 12v DC unit used on emergency vehicles in the 1970's and early 80's by FIRE RESCUE DEPRTMENTS everywhere. This is a great vintage/antique item used for restoration projects. And this is a rare, hard to find unit in near new condition. Most collectors ... morethat own these that I have come across won't sell them due to the rare availability of these units. The following company history was found on this website- The MARS Signal Light Company manufactured many different lights and sirens starting with the model FL which dates back to Kennelly's original patent(US Pat. 1.991,101) The company simultaneously made both emergency vehicle warning lights and railroad lights. They manufactured both train lights and several types of crossing lights. In the late 60's or early 70's, the operations moved to Naples, Florida and they operated from this location until the company was purchased by Trippe Light Co. The resulting corporation became known as TRI LITE MARS Thank You.

MARS LIGHT/ TRI-LIGHT RED ALERTING WARNING LIGHT
This is a used red warning light made by the Tri-lite Mars Corp. of Chicago. The model is Mark XII and it is a 115 volt AC alerting/warning light and this would have been used in an industrial application. It is 115 volts and could not possibly be used on a vehicle. There. I hope that satisfied the EBAY POLICE. It stands about 12" tall and is about 11" in diameter. It works great and rotates at about 40 rpm. I spliced on a cord with an on/off switch to demonstrate that is works great, lots of light. I'm sure there are lots of fun applications where this could be used. THE LIGHT FROM MARS MODEL 888 ANTIQUE FIRE TRUCK. AMBULANCE WARNING LIGHT This awesome warning light is in good used condition. It has some dings and scratches but that should be expected from a light that has seen years of service. The internal gears are in great shape and work flawlessly. This is an older version of the famous"888" light. It has a chrome reflector and bayonet base style bulb instead of a sealed beam bulb. It has a clear glass lens and the reflector and lens are in excellent shape. The chrome bullet motor cover has had a piece cut out on the bottom(see pictures) the mounting bracket covers most of it and it in no way effects it's operation. This thing is bigger than you think at almost 10 inches long and almost 7 inches wide.

A Mars FL-8 Warning Light. This was a standard warning light used on fire trucks and ambulances in the 40's and 50's. This light is from a Mack Fire Truck. The chrome work is nice. I have no way of testing it but you can see the underside shows rust to the gears so it obviously will need work. The glass has no chips or cracks. Just some minor scratches(picture 8, example) The chrome is pitted and worn and there are no fasteners keeping the base, globe and collar together- I think there should be some bolts or something but when sitting on a table it's fine as gravity keeps it altogether. The Light From Mars oscillating red fire truck or police light made by the Mars Signal Light Co. Chicago. Ill. It is in mint condition and to me looks like it was never used. Beautiful bright chrome, mint red glass, everything is just beautiful. It even has a small bag attached which has a on/off switch in it. The oscillating motor looks like new, even the bulb inside the lamp looks new. The patent date goes back into the 1930's and you can get a wealth of information on this light by Google. The serial number is 5541. I'm not sure if this is 6 or 12 volt and I have not tried it out. If you are a collector then this mint light has to be a must have. 12v Blue Mars Signal Light Co"Skybolt" US Army Emergency Light This is a Vintage Item That DOES NOT VIOLATE eBay's Selling Rules. It is No Longer Used by Law Enforcement. HUGE! Roughly 11" in Diameter and 10" Tall Tag reads: MARS SIGNAL LIGHT CO SKYBOLT U.S. ARMY MARS 12 VOLTS US PATENT#s SAE J575 3757108 SAE J578 4020047 SAE J845 D22851 1224 INDUSTRIAL BLVD. NAPLES. FL 33942" CONDITION: The unit is in good working condition mechanically. I plugged it into my car and have tested it. It spins and lights up. One of the bulbs is dead. Bulbs have a manually applied red glaze that I suspect is not original as there are a few very light smudges of red inside. I have no idea what they were thinking. Paint thinner would remove the coating and marks with ease. The blue lens is in pretty good shape overall. There is wear ... morebut no deep scratches. There is a tight crack above one of the screws but as far as I can tell it is internal and had not reached the outside though it is very close. It looks as though someone possibly overtightened. I have taken the lens off and put it back on; the crack did not grow or move. I have captured it very well in one of the photos. Please have a look. There are a few other very small stress fractures around some of the screw points. Everything is very tight. I will GLADLY take more pictures and provide further description if desired. The original power wires extend past the bottom but a very nice and new 8ft Radio Shack 12v cigarette lighter adapter has been spliced on. I do not know if the unit originally came with a magnetic base or not. When I got this unit it came with a custom magnetic base. By custom I mean: A crudely cut piece of OSB siding& black spray paint with 48 magnets JB welded to the bottom. That's right. 48. There are also three bolts with nuts that attach the base to the unit. Honestly, the thing isn't worth shipping. An antiue Mars fire truck or fireman's or police blue signal light. we believe this is early, it has a very deco look but we are not sure of actual age, complete with mount and wiring, including switch, great for industrial lighting, loft, re-purpose, the plaque reads: The Light From Mars Skybolt SW2 Mars Signal Light Co. I have included photos of the two plaques on the chrome base, chrome is in extremely good condition, as is the plastic light case, there are two bulbs inside the case, all wiring appears to be intact, with switch, knobs intact on mount. There are numerous signs of use and storage including some rust coated small scuffs and micro-scratches in the all-original mettalic red and white paint. Exposed internal metal parts are also rust coated. The drive train and steering still function well. But they need work. All parts appear to be original, except the front Mars light which is a replacement. The windshield is missing. All of the original chrome hubcaps are still present, secore, and intact with minimal if any noticeable bleed-through. The solid rubber tires have hardened, but are not cracked.
