This Auction Is For Pickup ONLY! This is an Antique/ Vintage Fire Monitor that I won in an auction about 25 years ago. Made by Wooster. These were carried on the Fire Engines and when they needed to direct a flow of water on a fire they set these up and just pointed in the proper direction and was able to use the man power elsewhere. This is Very Heavy and I believe it's made of solid Brass or Bronze. It's been outside covered this entire time and has never rusted or corroded. Still looks like when I bought it. I bought it to set up as a yard sprinkler for my son to play in. I had a machinist friend make a plug for the nozzle to make it sprinkle. It's still in it but can be knocked out if wanted. Again. This fire fighting cast iron plaque was found on a fence at a recent estate auction. It was rusty. But cleaned up very nicely to its original state by wirebrushing and oiling. It represents the first pump engine showing the two side pump spray. Loaded on two small steel wheels. This plaque measures 11 inches in diameter with a 1.5 inch hanger and is 1/2 inch thick embossed cast iron. Weight packaged is 6.7 pounds.

Original, four-volume box set of hard cover fire fighting books published by the National Fire Protection Association(Boston, Massachusetts) in the 1950s. While Lloyd Layman’s Fire Fighting Tactics by itself is a highly sought after vintage book. It is unique to come across a complete set of four NEPA books with their original sleeve. FIRE FIGHTING TACTICS by Lloyd Layman(1955– reprint of 1953 copyright) 109 pages; hard cover; dark blue. Text with black& white photos; one color photo opposite title page. ATTACKING and EXTINGUISHING INTERIOR FIRES by Lloyd Layman(1954– 3rd printing of 1952 copyright) 134 pages; hard cover; dark blue. Text with black& white photos and illustrations. ... moreOPERATING FIRE DEPARTMENT PUMPERS by Warren Y. Kimball(1954– reprint of 1953 copyright) 145 pages; hard cover; dark red. Text with black& white photos. Illustrations and charts. HANDLING HOSE AND LADDERS: A Pictorial Training Manual(1953– 1st printing) 190 pages; hard cover. Dark red. Foreword, acknowledgements, table of contents with 300+ black& white photos with captions. All four books are in very good condition. Each measures 9 inches by 5-5/8 inches. Together. The set weighs 4 pounds. Each of the hard cover volumes shows some slight shelf wear and very small patches of fading or discoloration. On the first blank page of each book a name is hand-written in ink(Henderson” while one of the volumes also has a word(IMPINGING” written on the inside cover. Some passages in the books are underlined in pencil. There are a light smudges and marks on a very few pages. The book on pumpers has crayon drawing on the inside back cover and a page towards the very end. The original box/sleeve is made of heavy cardboard with a dark blue coating; it shows significant shelf wear. Please refer to the photos. I will be listing two lots of NASA Tech Briefs from the 1980s today. The later ones are monthly so smaller and lighter, the earlier ones are thicker because quarterly. Happy to combine shipping if you win both lots. This is the earlier issues 1980-81. Two copies of the Fall 1980 issue. Summer and Winter 1980, Spring and Summer 1981. They weigh 6 pounds before packing.
