The inside threaded large end measures 1 7/8" diameter. And the smaller outer threaded end right at 1 1/4" with threads that look good. It measures 4 3/4" tall, and does have scratches in finish, and am sure it has seen plenty of fires. Nice old vintage BUESCHER TRUETONE. Elkhart, Indiana brass trumpet in case with#7 mouthpiece and an AP&M brass lyre. Stamped on the lower section of valve No. 2 is serial number 123132 along with LP 10. Which dates the trumpet to being made in 1922-1923. TRUETONE" is stamped on the mid section of valve 2. See pictures. The lined(with green velour type material) case has a nameplate"BUESCHER. Elkhart, Ind" Does show some wear. The bell is engraved with a floral motif and the words"THE BUESCHER Elkhart. Ind" Has mother-of-pearl valve covers which spring back nicely. Overall sound. Playable condition. Have made no attempt to clean the trumpet. As found. It measures 23 1/2" high and 7" wide CHECK THESE FEATURES! The body is solid copper The name plate is brass and the screw top is brass The hose is in very good condition The seams going down the back are soldered rivets Please take note and check picture#3 which shows a ding and#4 which shows a flat spot on the back. no photos have been edited or photo-shopped. VINTAGE COPPER ELKHART BRASS CO. SODA ACID FIRE EXTINGUISHER
This is an empty copper soda acid fire extinguisher made by the Elkhart Brass MFG. Co. of Elkhart. Ind. and it is"The Elkhart" model. That's how the brass label reads. This is the 2 1/2 gal. size and stands about 2 feet tall. It is in very good condition for something about 70+ years old. It has a couple of small dents on the backside. One is on the lower half between the hose and the row of rivets and this can bee seen in the pictures. The other is near the bottom just to the left of the rivets but it does not show up well in the pic's. There are some small scratches but the pictures do show the condition of the extinguisher. As you can see, it displays very well. This has been polished and lacquered for years of care free enjoyment. The hose is good and it still has it's lead nozzle. Lead nozzles were replaced with ... moreplastic ones over time. This was due to the fact the lead nozzle would sometimes get banged or bumped and flatten out the soft lead tip. This would cause the hose to explode when the extinguisher was used. This has it's acid bottle holder, glass acid bottle, and lead stop. As you can see in the pictures, the brass label has this magnificent stag on the label which makes this model of soda acid extinguisher highly sought after. It measures 30 inches in length and a wonderful 9 solid pounds. I found this at a estate auction here in Ohio and it will make a great collectors piece for the avid collector. Description Armstrong Elkhart. Ind. USA Alto Saxophone W/ Hardcase Serial Number 30 14277. This listing is for a vintage Armstrong Alto Saxophone. Elkhart, Ind. U.S.A. with hardcase. The Sax has Serial Number 30 14277 which what should be circa 1980. The pads appear to be in good condition. Cosmetically the saxophone is in very good pre-owned condition with some light scuffs and scratches to the finish consistant with use. I have noticed just 2 very small bumps and the finish is bright. Everything pictured comes with this instrument. There are no reeds and the mouthpiece may need replaced, otherwise in great shape.please see all scans) Acquired from a older lady who was downsizing and moving into a condo. Conn 14I Elkhart Brass 3-Valve Euphonium Baritone (1966)
Here's a rare find. You'll have fun with this pre-owned brass Conn baritone/euphonium. The serial number is H68429 which puts the date of manufacture around 1966. It is about 32 inches long. I believe this model is called the 14-I. On the ornately engraved 11-inch bell it reads"Conn Elkhart. Ind. U.S.A. The serial number is on the#2 valve casing. It has good valves, free moving tuning slides, heavy lacquer wear and an Olds case. This horn has a lot of dents/dings and scratches and several of the braces have been resoldered. Me? I'm not a music store/repairman. Looking for instruments and getting them into the hands of players is a hobby of mine. Buy accordingly. As is, I can get a nice sound out of it. Description Offered for your consideration is a antique brass and copper fire extinguisher made by the ELKHART BRASS Mfg. Company in Elkhart. Indiana. The lamp cannot function as an extinguisher anymore as it has had holes drilled in the top and bottom of the unit. The lamp has a 3 way socket and comes with the shade mounting bracket that is pictured. There is no lampshade so you get to pick your own. There is a small dent inside the heart(see picture) and a small dent on the back side of the unit(see picture) Shipping within the US for 29.00. The pictures are part of my overall description.
