For sale is some sort of German WWII era metal case that looks like it would be worn on a belt. It measures about 4 7/8" long by 5 5/8" across by 1 7/8" thick if you include the mounting hooks on the back. It opens from the clip on the front. Slides up, and then rotates over for easy access to the contents. There is some sort of tool-type thing on the top of the lid on the left side. I have no idea what it is for? The top of the lid also has a celluloid window to write on and some one whom appears to be an american leiutenent perhaps wrote that the contents had 3 pipes at one point. So not sure what was supposed to be inisde this case. My only guesses are rations or flairs or some sort of ammo? You are bidding on an original German WWII Kriegsmarine U-boat Draeger tauchretter escape vest metal fitting. this fitting is the threaded bushing for the steel oxygen bottle. this fitting was ground found near a German U-boat training school. After the war this was in the British sector and they took all unwanted captured items were thrown in a hole and burned! This item was found in one of those pits and still shows some of the rubber from the vest and some coils of binding wire that was used to seal the metal fitting to the rubber vest. see pictures for condition. Part is not damaged and the oxygen bottle threads into this b fitting with no problem. This would make a great replacement part if your metal fitting is missing or damaged. Vintage. German Draeger deep sea diver statue, artist signed& numbered"50" 31" on boot, near base, see photo 2) Very good quality and detailed solid cast brass figure, on dark green marble base with beveled edges. Weight 4lbs. 4ozs. Measures 10 1/2"H on base. Figure itself 9"H. Base 3" X 2" X 1 1/2" In good original condition, with a smooth, and nice color patina. The finish does have a couple of white residue spots on the surface, which have not been cleaned. On his left boot is the artists indent signature, with the first letters being much smaller than the last ones, therefore difficult to make out: IVARA" see photo 3) Starting price is less than half the value of this item, with NO RESERVE. 12 photos. Scarce and original German WWI booklet for the Draeger gasmask
Original and extremely scarce booklet for the German WWI draeger gasmask. This gasmask was mostly used by the MG units and the pioneers troops which were fighting in closed space(dugout for MG and tunnels for the pioneer) It is well desribing all the equipment with nice drawing and is an excelent add to the gasmask if you already have it. Drager Draeger BG-174A BG174-A Oxygen Breathing Apparatus SCBA Rescue Air Supply
Available for your consideration this DRAEGER BG-174A Oxygen Breathing Apparatus with Chest style case. This device was found in a long term storage unit. I have no idea how long it was locked in there. The rubber seems to be in good condition. Both pressure gauges function and the Oxygen bottle was full. I did drain the bottle as is required for shipping. I was tempted to take a whiff of 1972 pure oxygen but was afraid of being sucked back in time to the age of DISCO! The backpack portions removable cover has a sticker on it from the Central Mine Rescue of Osburn Idaho. The mask has one part of the rubber adjustable strap broken and scratches on the faceplate as is visible in the photos. The unit looks to be complete except for the disposable CO2-absorbent canister which would need to be fully operational. This item has a serial number plate ... moreon the side(Seen in the Photo) with the Serial Number 000219 and the manufacture year of 1972 Made in Germany. I know very little about this device. There is a great deal of information about it as well as test data easily found with a standard Google search. The item should be re-conditioned and recertified prior to any actual use. We are selling this device in AS-IS and UNTESTED condition because I have no idea how to test it and do not have a disposable CO2-absorbent canister laying around. The case is a big metal box. I assume aluminum with 3 latches with lock holes. We took a bunch of high resolution photos for this auction. Godzilla was annoyed his picture had to be dropped.
