Up for your bidding pleasure is a Vintage Akron Brass Gated Hose Siamese Valve. Firefighting Hose Splitter Valve. Wooster. OH. This early Akron solid brass gated fire hose valve is in very good condition(see attached photos) I know this is going to sound a little weird, but is this a gorgeous chunk of metal or what? The craftsmanship, the quality, the colors, AND it is a functional item, too. Go ahead, use it. It was made in Wooster Ohio and is model M949. I've seen some fabulous firefighter/fire truck museums and this item would fit very nicely in that type of environment. Here, let me save you a little time- you're not going to see this guy on eBay. The two hose outer threads are 16tpi. the collar inner threads might be 8tpi. I don't have a thread gauge that will measure that large of a thread. My thread gauge only goes to 10tpi. ... moreIt has"NS" stamped on the collar, if that helps you. The dried rubber o'ring/seal within the collar will need to be replaced if you do plan on using it. There are no cracks, repairs, chunks, or parts missing. The brass valve has age-appropriate red paint wear and small nicks in the metal from use and handling. The valve measures 5-3/4"T X 6-3/4"D X 7-1/2"W and weighs a whopping 11lb.6oz! That's a lot of brass! I'll ship USPS Parcel Post Mail unless instructed to do otherwise. So buy it. Akron Brass deck gun. Style# 501 with Akron Brass Master Turbojet nozzle. Gun has three inlets on the bottom that measure 3 inch in diameter outside to outside, i'm not sure what size hose this would be for. Gun cranks up and down flawlessly and the nozzle seem to open and close properly too. The paint on it is not the best and is flaking off in spots. This gun came off of a 1971 American LaFrance.
