Fassi knuckleboom hydraulic crane
You are viewing a used Fassi brand knuckle boom crane I have for sale. The truck it is mounted on is NOT included. You are buying the crane only! The crane works great. I have been using it here on my farm and I have helped neighbors out with lifting things. I plan to install a grain bed and hoist on the truck to haul grain and silage. So the crane is for sale. I will leave the crane on the truck for a while so someone can try it out if they want to. If you buy it and want to pick it up quickly, that is no problem, I can remove it with short notice. I found a serial number of F5S*8*0255 on the turrent. My local National crane dealer said that is the model and serial number. It reaches 36 feet tall and 30 feet to the side. One hose was leaking and I replaced it. The main boom lift cylinder leaks some at the packing around the ram. I included ... morea photo. The truck had not been used for a few years when I bought it and I think the seal dried out. It actually leaks less now that I have been using it, but the seal should be replaced if you use it daily. The boom is really smooth operating. It has two hydraulic extension stages. It has two outriggers that hydraulicly extend. And then another lever lowers and raises them. It is a nice working crane. The crane is bolted down to the truck frame with long bolts. I will remove them and the buyer gets them with it. I have removed booms before and sometimes was not able to remove the bolts without cutting them. I will try and keep the bolts in good condition. But if they have to be torched to remove them, that is the way it is. The buyer also gets the hydraulic pump that runs the boom. You also get the hoses that run from the pump to the crane. Once again, I will do my best to remove the hoses in good order, but no guarantees. The PTO gearbox on the side of the transmission that runs the pump is NOT included. 1998 prentice 310e Log Loader, knuckleboom
A 1998 Prentice 310E knuckleboom log loader that is a good machine. I originally bought to unload pulpwood for my firewood business(which I have sold) Things that I know are wrong with the machine: Front window is cracked(see picture) tack sticks until you rev the engine up to operating rpm after starting will need a tire or two in the near future(a ll tires hold air and it is ready to be towed) Other info about the machine: I am third owner. 6 cyl John deere engine. all buttons and lights work. Heat and air work. saw buck hookups(I believe the work but I have now sawbuck to try it out on) New batteries in Feb 2013. Grapple swivel repacked a few months ago. I replaced all hoses from boom to and throughout the grapple with in the last year. I wanted them all to be identical and same lengths) I think I have the old ones for spares all trailer ... morelights work on the back. I just recently had it moved to my house from a logging job and was told it pulled fine. I have the service. Owners, and parts manual with a maintenance log of everything I have done to the machine since I have had it. New hydraulic oil filter and engine oil and filters have all been changed. Good machine will start right up down to about 30 degrees. Then you will need some ether or other aid. I wish I could keep. But I don't log full time and cannot justify keeping it as i have no semi to pull it with. I really like this unit, and wish I could justify keeping it. For sale is my 1996 Palfinger PK 9001 knuckleboom crane. It is self contained with a 20 hp kohler engine and mounted on a rolling chassis. This came off of a 48 foot flatbed trailer. There are a lot of different configurations that you can do with this. You could mount this on a trailer or on I beams or take it of the chassis and mount it on your truck chassis. There is one hydraulic extension for a total reach of 17'5" There are 2 auxilary hydraulic circuits that go to the boom tip. One runs the hydraulic rotator that is mounted with through hydraulics for mounting a grapple or other device. The rotator spins 360 degrees continuous. The boom rotates 410 degrees. Hiab 140AW Knuckleboom crane on 1990 Ford L8000
HIAB 140AW knuckleboom crane on a 1990 Ford L8000 Louisville. 400k mi. 32k GVW. This truck was a material handling truck for a lumberyard most of it's life. I used it folded up behind the cab with a hydraulic carrier deck for my towing business. Comes with hydraulic material forks with rotation motor. I just re-built the main lift cylinder and the crane no longer seems to have any major leaks. But the base is wet from the leak and it may have some seeps. The functions all work fine, but I haven't tried the forks in a while. It does have some additional weldments on the crane(for mounting a winch) It has 27' of reach from the centerline of the truck and approx. a max 37' hook height. The manually extended outriggers pull out about 3' All manual controls, no remotes. The truck starts and runs great. And goes down the road ... morefine. The interior is average, and there is the typical New England rust apparent underneath, but the exterior sheet metal is solid and the paint on the cab is only 4 years old and in nice shape. There are some fiberglass repairs to the DS floor. The fiberglass hood is in great shape, but the steel hood pivot mounts are getting rough. Tires are in good shape with lots of tread, 50% The brakes work well. The transmission and rear end shift fine(5+2) but it seems to be the original clutch. It has a Ford 6 cylinder diesel engine which smokes white a little when cold, but goes away once it warms up. Air brakes, air driver's seat, no A/C, no radio, Note: this truck requires a CDL. I am in Vermont which doesn't issue titles for vehicles over 15 years old. But I do have the previous owner's MA title if you need that for your state. Local pick-up in Erving MA 01344. Some controls, stabilizers, hook, PTO, pump, cable remote and cooling fan assembly. Pallet forks are not included. Crane is 8 feet high and is 8600 lbs. with the above items. When new the max reach was 57 feet 9 inches. Max loading when main and jib extended horizontally- 3200 lbs@ 41ft. 2710 lbs@ 46ft, 2115lbs@ 52ft and 1565 lbs. 57ft, 9inches.Max loading when extended vertical with jib horizontal is 4100 lbs@ 25 ft. 2710@ 30ft, 1920lbs@36 ft and 1410 lbs@ 1410 Purchased new by us in 1994 and currently secured to a pallet on the ground.
