Nicknamed"tree braid" Hi-Vee Safety Blue(Orange outside) has a 7.000 lb break strength and is only available in 1/2" diameter. Originally designed as an arborist climbing rope, braided Safety Blue makes great leads as well. Wax coated yarns are used in its construction giving it a very supple, nice feel in the hands. The wax also helps to keep dirt out and to make knot tying more secure and untying easier. It is also very strong and rugged. With the core stripped out, it makes great reins as well. Double Braided Rope Polypropylene Over Polyester 5/8 Rope Red- 150' 4-5k tensile strength. This rope has seen some light use but it is still in good condition. Applicable for Rigging. Boating, Equestrian, Arborist I have used this rope a few times doing aerial rigging but I have found it to be too heavy. It would be more useful as halter rope or for other rigging purposes where climbing is not involved. It holds knots well and it is soft on the hands. Can easily be cut down to shorter lengths. I do not recommend this rope for any heavy'running rigging' because the jacket is fairly loose and it will'pick' over sharp angled surfaces which causes eventual unraveling. If carefully maintained.
