It still works when I put batteries in it and switch it on-I can hear it run, however the paper does not advance and it may be out, or has come off the rollers. Its a recent estate find and will work on battery or a/c power as you can see, though there was no a/c adapter with it. The battery box has a little corrosion in it from batteries left in it too long-I cleaned the terminals and put batteries in it and switched it on. The red light does not light up, though it may be just to indicate low batteries. What you see is what is included. Its condition is very good with nothing cracked or broken. Gould TA4000 Micropulsing Thermal Chart Recorder For sale- a Gould TA4000 Micropulsing Thermal Chart Recorder. Acording to the back panel this is a Model 3008-B1506-17. Or a 3008-A1500-17 depending on which label you believe. I am going to guess that the chassis is a 3008-A1500-17 and with the installed components it becomes a B1506-17. Hopefully that tells you everything you need to know about it. This TA4000 is in very good physical condition. Maybe some scuffs and scratches on the case but generally speaking it looks as nice as a chart recorder needs to look. It powers up as you can see. And I was able to start the paper feeding, change the speed of the paper feed, and poke around in the menu a little. That is the extent of my testing and NO warranty is offered. However.
