Omega RD1606 Six Channel Strip Chart Recorder For sale- an Omega RD1606 Six Channel Strip Chart Recorder. It has a few scuffs of the display panel but is generally in very good physical condition. It powers up as you can see and I was able to toggle around in the various settings a bit. So it would appear to be functional. HOWEVER. During the course of my playing around it appeared to be trying to print, but nothing was ever actually printed on the paper. You can find a copy of the manual for the thing here on the Omega website. I looked through that enough to see that the print head might need to be replaced. As the ink comes preloaded in the head and is not something you can buy separately. It’s also possible that a cap is in place. Something you would do if you weren’t going to use it for awhile, but I can’t see it well enough to say and ... moreI don’t want to break it trying to get the print head out. CHINO CHART RECORDER ES610-02 2 channel type'K' TC 0 to 2000 deg(used but runs) This is a used chart recorder model ES610-02 that I found in my storage from a past job in which I removed it and replaced with an Allen Bradley remote I/O system which stored the chart data to a system hard drive and also allowed for printing only when required. I dusted this off a bit and connected a 120 vac power cord to test it. This unit still works. But the ink is dried out. The paper had all been used up and it most probably will need to be re-calibrated before use. I had thought about connecting my thermocouple calibrator to verify it. But without ink or paper I thought twice and just decided to list it for sale here on Ebay. I used some Windex to clean the outside and realized too late that Windex erases number tags. So I slid the unit out of ... morethe case to take a picture of the internal tag as you can see in my pictures. This unit makes a chart impression every few seconds and alternates between ink colors at every impression. In this way I guess that one channel could be blue like the temporary thermocouple I had hastily fabricated so I could use my little pocket butane torch to heat and witness the needle move upscale when heated and downscale as it cooled. The channel for the red ink was not tested. Yes. This unit has had much less than a clean controlled lab environment in which to operate, and there is some rust at the rear screws and the plastic has yellowed. I am going to select the category named as"for parts or not working" because I have no more to tell you than what I have told in this listing description and in my pictures. I have had this running on my bench for several hours. But no ink marks appear on the re-cycled paper. Both chart speeds as well as the paper fast advance works. Each Channel takes many types of inputs(4-20ma.0-20ma,0-10vdc,0-5vdc, RTD, TC etc) just to name a few. If you are looking at this unit you are already familiar with its functionality. This is a 1980s vintage Gould Brush Model 220 2-channel chart recorder with 4 pens so there are 2 event recorder pens in addition to main 2 analog channel pens. Chart is 4" wide. The chart speed goes up to 125 mm/min. Each of two input attenuator/sensitivity selector handles signals from 1-500 mV/div and 1-10 Volts/div. The unit is in excellent operating condition but does not come with ink or extra paper. The pens need to be soaked in water and air dried before using.
