Up for your consideration is a green vintage Taylor divers compass& depth gage on a green plastic wrist band. The depth gage reads Taylor& Rochester N.Y. USA. I have no idea of exact age or if the depth gage works. The compass appears to work great. Please see all photos for details and ask if you have any questions! BEAUTIFUL EXTREMELY NICE TAYLOR INSTRUMENTS BAKELITE STORMOGUID E! THIS HAS A BAROMETER- A THERMOMETER- A HUMIDITY GAUGE! I ADJUSTED IT OVER SEVERAL DAYS& IT'S AMAZINGLY ACCURATE FOR IT"S AGE! Probably 1930's Bakelite Plastic Art Deco Styled Piece is really well made with Superb American Craftsmanship and It Has Awesome Style. I have newer weather stations like this all over my house. Including a Taylor Instruments 2005 Electronic Wireless unit with a outdoor remote sensor. When I first got this one home I was extremely impressed with it's excellent condition and relative accuracy as compared to the newer Taylor! Now that I've had it for a while and properly adjusted it for My Elevation where I live and slightly adjusted the humidity ... moregauge(probably too much) and the thermometer; I am simply amazed with it's Accuracy.the Thermometer seems really right on! But Obviously a gauge this old will most likely need further adjusting. My photos are about an hour after bringing it in from outside.and at least I got the humidity gauge to move. Please be aware that you will have to adjust the Barometer for your elevation and that it is quite simple. You simple turn the dial on the rear to your correct elevation(see photos) All of these types of weather gauges are relative and touchy.But this one Looks Awesome Too! It cleaned up perfectly inside and out and even the Real Glass Front Lens is perfect! There are some really tiny defects in the awesome dial face. But it's the Best I've Ever Seen for 70-80 years old. The Brown Bakelite cleaned and polished up Beautifully and there are NO chips. Breaks, scratches or serious damage anywhere! This Art Deco Piece is Just Awesome! I love the little red indicator on the bottom front that lets you know which direction the Barometer is tending towards! No issues with the case. Dials, face or paint. Very minimal scuffs on bottom of base. Everything looks as nice as the day it was made. The barometer. Thermometer and humidistat work as they should however because it is a vintage instument I cannot gaurantee it's accuracy. This auction is for a 5" diameter Taylor Instruments Stormoguide wall mount barometer. It is dated with patent dates from 1913 and 1918. But the face has a copyright date of 1922. I do not know if it is in working order and I think it is supposed to be set for the user's altitude. It is in good used condition with tarnished brass, but no dents or bends. It is in working order& in very nice shape. Dimensions: 8 3/4" from end of one metal arm/handle to the end of the opposite metal handle. The wood cases diameter is 5 3/8" the unit is 2" deep. I have available a Vintage weather station manufactured by Taylor Instrument Companies Asheville. N.C. U.S.A. The 7 inch x 4 inch x 1 3/4 inch weather station is in excellent condition. No issues with the case. Dials, face. The brown case has all it's original factory gloss, the face has A few scuff marks. The indicator needles are very bright and easy to read clear across a room. The barometer. Thermometer and humidistat work as they should however because it is a vintage instument I cannot gaurantee it's accuracy. There are two adjustable screws on the rear of the unit to calibrate for your local area. There is one screw missing on bottom left backside of barometer scale. See photos. Photos speak volumes. On auction today is. An VERY RARE antique 1927 Taylor Instrument Companies Barometer from Rochester. N.Y. USA. The middle control dial is broken and floating around in the glass as pictured. It looks to be in working condition. There are minor scratches on the octagon wooden case. It has some weight to it about 3 pounds heavy. There is a name on it as well"TYCOS" and says on it"Storm Guide" It has a lot of detailed information about weather more than an average barometer. Up for auction is a very nice vintage Taylor Instruments Diver's depth gauge. The gauge has been used but is in very nice overall condition and includes a wrist strap. The face is marked with the"Taylor" name as well as"Rochester. N.Y. U.S.A. The item does have some scuffs/scratches including on the dome and has not been tested for depth. This auction is for: 1) TAYLOR INSTRUMENTS- ENGINEERING BAROMETER- Vintage- leather case altimeter. The leather case has a tear. You can see it in the pictures. There is also some words on the case in ink and some light scratching on the back of the barometer. Looks like saw mill? This is an old taped piece of paper with directions on it. It is 2" wide and 15" long. Crinkled up but readable. It states"The altitude barometer is a sensitive but rugged instrumenjt designed to indicate the differences in altitude between one place and another" Plus a lot of directions on how to use. The instrument is 3.00" in diameter and 1.325" thick. Pretty solid instrument. Looks to be in working order, but I did not test it. I combine shipping. Guaranteed old. And original. Here is a Vintage Barometer That was made by Taylor Instruments. This actually is mine. I have had this for many years and just do not use it any more. It did work buy like have said has not been used in years. This is a nice item. I can not garantee this but if remembering. It did work. May need a bit of tinkering, maybe. NICE VINTAGE TAYLOR INSTRUMENTS CO. ROCHESTER. N.Y. BAKELITE STORMOGUIDE WEATHER STATION. BAROMETER, THERMOMETER AND HUMIGUIDE ALL ARE APPARENTLY IN FINE WORKING CONDITION. THERMOMETER RESPONDS TO TEMPERATURE CHANGE, BAROMETER TO PRESSURE AND HUMIDITY ROSE QUICKLY WHEN TESTED IN A STEAMY ROOM. WE DON'T GET MUCH HUMIDITY IN ARIZONA) THERE ARE NO CRACKS OR CHIPS ONLY A SCRATCH ON THE BACKSIDE THAT YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS. THE BAKELITE HAS SOME DULLNESS, SOME AREAS MORE THAN OTHERS BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT BAKELITE SO I WILL LEAVE THAT TO THE EXPERT! Wonderful Art Deco tabletop Taylor barometer. Temperature gauge, and humidity gauge in bakelite case, patented 1926. This multi-purpose instrument has a barometer in the center with a manual needle which allows you to measure changes in barometric pressure. It has a temperature gauge on the left side which ranges from 30 to 110 degrees and indicates the"Health Zone" of 68- 72 degrees. On the right is a humidity gauge which ranges from 0 to 100 percent and indicates whether the humidity is in the low, normal, or high range. The dials are on a two-toned gold background with black letters and numbers. Glass covers the instrumentation. The case measures approximately 5 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 2 inches deep. It is in bakelite and brass, with a strong deco design. The back is brown metal with 4 vent areas and a round metal plate. ... moreROTATE THIS PLATE UNTIL ARROW ON THE CASE POINTS TO THE ALTITUDE OF YOUR LOCALITY. The altitude gradations range from 0 feet to 3500 feet. The plate also indicates the patent no. 1612344 which dates to 1926. This piece is in very good to excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or damage. There is light surface wear. It appears to operate very well. I'm trying to make money to pay for school.
