It did fetch the pins and draw lines in the direction of the arrow keys when I held them down. The plotter comes with 4 previously opened bags of pens. I am not sure of their quality. But I pulled two out to test the plotter and they did draw lines on the paper. Also included is the original HP Interconnection Guide.
