I am unfamiliar with this meter and do not know if it is working properly. It had no batteries in it and so I put 2 new 9 volt batteries in. Please see the photos of the meter; one with switch in battery position and the other with the switch in test position with the calibrator turned on. Calibrator makes a tone when turned on and meter does read the noise level. With the calibrator on the end of the mic the meter read just over 9 in the 100 db position. With the switch in the battery position it reads only just over 2. I have no instructions or manual for use. This is sold as is and complete with all items shown plus 2 new 9 volt batteries. Genrad Model 1988 Type 1 Sound Level Meter Octive Filter with Calibrator
I acquired this Type one meter from Thompson Audiology in Yakima Washington and it had been very well maintained but Jim has retired now and the new owners of the business told me that they were now using a Type 2 Quest 215 meter without a filter to do background noise studies prior to testing. This is a common misconception only a type one meter should be used to check an area before industrial hearing testing. This unit has a built in Octave Filter and has 200 Volt polarization required for some Microphones. The micro phone pictured is not polarized but is flat out to 19K hz.The calibrator included works but needs to be rewired to common 9 Volt battery. This is an integrating SLM with noise exposure feature with noise versus time exposure. Feel free to ask any questions about this meter.

Sound Level Meter& Calibrator These devices are both functioning. But have not been calibrated in decades. I do not know if they are functioning%100 properly. Due to my inability to fully test them. These items are being sold as-is, no returns accepted. The Calibration unit makes steady noise when powered on. It's not very loud at arms length. But is audible. The SPL meter responds differently to sound based on the DB range setting. In a manner that you would expect it to: higher DB settings make the needle respond less to the same input. Weighting seems to be working- I don't know how accurate it is. But it is functioning, with different weight settings slowing the needle down, averaging the reading out. I'm listing the set as not working for the following reasons: The 1562-A Sound Level Calibrator opened the unit and plugged in a 9-volt battery(not included) It makes sounds. However I don't know if this means it's working. Someone added battery wires do to some corrosion on the original connector. The 1565-B Sound Level Meter Type 2 uses 2 9-volt batteries(not included) There is also also corrosion around those connectors and one is detached and would have to be reconnected. I inserted 2 batteries and the white needle went up when turned on, however again I don't know if this means it's working properly. Sound Level Measurement Set 1565B with Calibrator 1567 by General Radio
General Radio Model 1565B hand held sound level meter with a 1567 sound level calibrator. Meter is capable of measuring level A. B, or C. Both come with a soft protective case, and the set comes with a hard shell carrying case. Complete with manual dated 1972. Unit works fine. The only problem is that the battery cover on the meter will not stay shut, so I keep it closed with a piece of duct tape. This is a great tool to have on the factory floor as a guideline for compliance.

This is a used Simpson sound measuring system in excellent condition and working order. As you can see from the picture the meter in a case with all of the original accessories. The Simpson 886 Sound Level Meter is a portable. General purpose sound level instrument, capable of accurate sound level measurements over a range of 40 to 140 dB. Quest Sound level meter with Single Octive filter. Audiometer 9A coupler& weight plus Fluke 8060A witch can be used as a Frequency counter during Audiometric Calibration. I used one of these meters in the early 80's and it compared favorably to my 2203/1613/4144 I was amazed because we paid a lot less for the Quest kit and it didn't break down as much(meter neck problems threads stripped or jammed) and when we sent it in to Anaheim(after a while no longer in business) we were always told it needed a new 4144 and the charged us to repaint it $400.00,$ 1100.00 for new microphone. These meters are very rugged and reliable. Everything in the pictures is included hand held meter can be used for frequency measuring. I have chart with correction factors for 6Kand 8 K but it has a flat response otherwise. The corrections on 6 and 8KHZ ... moreare less than 2db. Up for auction is a used Quest Technologies SoundPro DL-2 Sound Level Meter with a QC-10 Calibrator. Both units are in good physical condition with just some light scuffs on the SoundPro and some dents in the calibrator. Both units power on. The SoundPro reacts to sound level changes and all of the buttons work. The Calibrator makes and noise and the SoundPros bars jump around. Larson Davis 712 Sound Level Meter (SLM) with CA150 Sound Level Calibrator
This is a Larson Davis 712 SLM(Sound Level Meter) along with a CA150 Sound Level Calibrator. Both components are in very good condition with barely any signs of use. These were older units that show calibrations from 1999/2000. But they both function perfectly according to my tests. Both units are powered by a single 9-volt battery each(included) The calibrator properly generates tones at 94/114db and the main SLM unit can detect and respond to those signals. After calibrating to the main unit with the calibrator. It was able to provide readings within 1db of the measurement source. It comes with several accessories and documentation. Manual and Accessories The General Radio 1562 Calibrator is used to provide a known sound level output to validate the calibration of sound level meters. The calibrator comes with the original case. Adaptors for 1/2" and 1" microphones, and the original manual. The case exterior is in rough shape but the case interior is nice. The calibrator runs on a Type 226(NEDA 1600) 9 volt battery which may be difficult to find. The unit was checked out with a standard 9 volt battery and seemed to operate properly.
