MJ Research PTC-200 DNA engine peltier thermal cycler w/ alpha unit block 1.1Q
This is an MJ research ptc-200. It powers up and passes its tests. We started a couple programs and confirmed that both sides heat up. We only ran it for a couple minutes. So we can't vouch for the whole cycle. We also can't promise that it's calibrated or anything like that. There's a sticker on the front saying that this is a demo unit limited to 450 cycles. The sticker says that one can check its usage by the"usage" menu in the setup menu. However. There doesn't seem to be a usage menu on this machine. We also couldn't find any information on that in the version menu(see the pictures) And, it did heat up when we started a cycle. So, we wonder if this machine has already had that limitation removed.
