He was a perfectionist and I would be surprised is it did not work"all the way" We plugged it in and it lights up as we would expect. However, it has not been tested so we are selling it as is. We did replace the power cord as the original one was a bit frayed and we did not want to take a chance on it shorting out or anyone getting hurt. Cosmetically it looks good with no scratches or dents in the metal case. The leather carrying strap is still very solid. all the buttons. Switches, and dials work freely, as they should.

Up for sale. A restored resistor and capacitor tester from 1955 by Knight. It's a beauty with all original knobs on snuggly but not stripped, and the fine condition case and face. Spring loaded handle working 100% Indicator tube is nice and fully bright and has better contrast than the picture shows(shaddow is darker. When I got this it hardly worked at all and not properly. After a complete recapping it now functions correctly. There is a pic of it hooked to a 0.05mF at 600V orange drop cap. It reads on scale 2 and it reads right at 0.05 on the dial- nice and accurate. I tested also a 22mF at 450 electrolytic and it read right at 22 on the 0-100mF scale- excellent. Also tested the leakage section and it works as designed now opening the shadow on the green tube as the cap charges up. Then quickly closing and re-opening as it discharges ... moreto ground when the spring loaded test knob is released- correct. Extremely handy tester to have and does test both electrolytics and foil/paper bypass and coupling types for shorts. Open condition, and intermittant. Includes the original instruction manual which you will need to fully understand all its' capabilities. No test leads included. I just use clip leads. Vintage SPRAGUE Tel-Ohmike TO-6S Capacitor Analyzer Tester
Note this is a Model TO-6S. I was unable to locate a TO-6S with my internet research. Most seem to be TO-6 or TO-6A. The unit powers on& the green eye comes on in certain positions. I am not knowledgeable enough to go further. I am selling it as parts only& that is reflected in the asking price. The outside of the case shows scuff marks& a few small places the paint is missing. No handle. The knob on the lever marked"Discharge Test" is missing.

Knight Blinking Eye Capacitor Checker Tester
Hi! Thanks for checking into this vintage Capacitor Tester. It is an“in-circuit” capacitor checker. So that makes things a little more convenient as you go about your trouble-shooting duties. It belonged to a relative that is no longer with us, and I know that it was fully functional as of a year ago… which was the last time I saw it in use. I do not know if it is still in that state now, but it comes with its manual/schematic/etc. so it should be easily repaired if that is necessary. In any case, I do not want this going into the trash. I think it would be a fun and functional novelty instrument for the good-hearted mad scientist types among you- of whose talents and skills I am very much envious of. J Thanks for looking. Nice Vintage SPRAGUE TO-6 TEL-OHMIKE Capacitor Tester and Bridge. This is working and comes with original manual. Bright eye tube indication. Handle is worn but serviceable. Bridge readings are somewhat off from expected so calibration likely will be required. Very clean and original inside. Nice panel and meter.
