Please help me out by closely reviewing the pics to best judge what you are bidding on. Description: EICO model 950B Resistance-Capacitance-Comparator Bridge with Instruction Manual. Test leads are not included. Condition: It powered on. The magic eye"vacuum tube" powered on and glowed green. I let it stay powered on for approximately 1 hour. I did not attempt any other testing. Electronically. It appears to be complete, turning on and providing some type of result. Unfortunately with my limited understanding of this type of thing, I cannot truly attest to its accuracy, or if it is working 100% correctly. A closer view will reveal scratching. Spots of rust and discoloration throughout. The front/face of the tester has numerous spots of surface rust. Dirty, yellowed and discolored. I have a novice interest in this type of thing. I am not a expert. You are bidding on 1- Vintage Eico 950B Resistance-Capacitance Comparator Bridge ~ S/N 29252 ~ Untested. But powers on and large green lamp in top right corner lights up. Made in Massachusetts USA- Overall nice shape with minor wear from use& age. Faceplate is nice, Unit probably dates from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. Made in LI City, NY USA! I have no idea if it works or what it does. Sold As-Shown. No apparent physical damage. All knobs are present and appear to be original. Some wear& staining to paint finish, not dents or heavy scratches. I got this from an estate along with many other pieces of antique tube ham radio and test equipment. Includes a COPY of the Instruction Manual, which contain a schematic and parts list and a set of test leads. I did test a known good capacitor and a resistor and values read on the tester were fairly close to the actual value of the components. The unit has not been calibrated nor checked for accuracy. Today we have a- GENTLY USED- EICO Model 950B- RESISTANCE/ CAPACITANCE- COMPARATOR- BRIDGE up for auction This high quality TEST UNIT comes with a METAL CASE. It measures 10 inches by 8 inches high and is 5 inches deep. It has rubber feet on the bottom of the case. This unit is surplus from a large manufacturing plant in our area. And was used to test and repair their early tube type business band radios. These radios were very similar to early tube type Ham radios I have tested this unit and all functions seem to work. The calibration seems to be correct. The MAGIC EYE TUBE is BRIGHT This is a vintage type item. And the metal case has a hammertone type of finish ... morethat seems to attract grime in the nooks and crannies. The case could use a good cleaning, as it has sat on a workbench unused for many years. It is mounted in a STRONG METAL- CARRY CASE. This unit was manufactured in the USA when the country still made high quality test equipment. As opposed the the newer lower quality items now made in China.
