This fasinating electrical multimeter is a p ie ce of test history. It was made by T he Precision Apparatus Company of Elmhurst. N. Y USA. It is labelled Series 856-G. It is in very good condition and complete with original probes. The case is basically undamaged but has scuffing and usage scratching and marks. Electrically it appears to have no damage and the meter pivots are seem unbroken. The meter reads fine on DC but the instrument requires calibration. The test label inside reads 1944. Each varies in thickness and the flattened end of each bears different markings. Four of the probes are each marked"BETZ" and the other is marked"AM.ST. 20 Stainless.
