Simpson In-Circuit Capacohmeter Model 383A capacitor and leakage tester tested in working condition. Test readings were comparable to my digital meter and it also detected leaky capacitors. Case shows scuff and scratch marks, power cord was previously replaced with a grounded cord- cord is a bit short, control panel looks good with few marks and all controls operate well, manual is not included but a copy can be found by clicking. HEATHKIT C-3 CONDENSER CHECKER CAPACITOR & LEAKAGE TESTER - TESTED & SERVICED
Heathkit C-3 Condenser Checker. This is a great economical tester for finding leaky capacitors. The internal circuit has been checked over and components replaced as needed to bring it into proper functioning condition, switches and controls have been flushed with a non-lubricating contact cleaner and the tester is working as it should. The 1629 eye tube is good but not as bright as a new tube would be, the white spots are just glare from the room lighting. While these are not known for their accuracy in reading capacitor values test readings are within 10-15% of a known value, where this does shine is in its ability to find leaky capacitors up to 450 volt. Several known capacitors have been checked and it does find the leaky ones and shows the good capacitors as good. Case shows heavy wear- stains, scuff, scratches and paint loss around ... morethe edges, the power cord is good having been previously replaced. Don't forget to check out my other items.
