Protractor head, center head, 12 inch rule and an 18 inch rule. It is the hardened model. The blades both say Tempered No. 4. It is in good condition. There is the name BUD neatly etched in small letters on the edge of the center head and square head and face of the 12 inch rule. The 18 inch rule has Bud Johnson lightly etched on it. Vintage BROWN & SHARPE 12" Combination Square Set 426 tempered ORIGINAL BOX
This Brown& Sharpe Mfg. Combination Square Set was my dad's. When he got out of the army in 1945 it was part of a tool kit given to him by the government to begin his journeyman machinist apprenticeship in Kansas City. Where he worked for 40+ years. I will be listing many of his machinist tools in the near future. As far as I can tell. All four pieces of this set are intact and in working order. It includes a 12" Tempered Steel#4 Gage Rule. Steel Square Head. Center Head with Bubble Leveler& Reversible Protractor. Original box is cool but it does have a lot of wear and tear. As was the practice for tradesmen back in the day to keep their tools identified, my dad lightly etched his initials in some of the pieces. The square is in very good used condition. The level vial in the square head in functional and clear. The scribe is missing. The original black wrinkle finish is about 90% present on either head. MITUTOYO 4 pc. COMBINATION SET For sale I have a used but in good condition Mitutoyo 4pc. Combination Set. These pieces are all hardened. The set comes with a Brown& Sharpe 12" Scale- model 599-9400-1208-1. It measures in 32nd's& 64th's on one side and 10th's(100) and 100th's(010) on the other side. Two things worth noting- it does not come with the scribe. Also. One of the tightening screws is missing a washer type piece that goes on below the nut, but it still tightens fine without it. I took close up pictures of the one without it and one with it- for reference purposes. There are a few marks here and there on the pieces. But overall the set is in very good condition. Shipping is $6.00 for 50 states. Will ship within two days after payment is received.

This auction consists of a Brown& Sharpe tempered#4 steel rule paired with a Tumico hardened sliding square. The rule has a blem on one end. Which can be seen in the photo. It doesn’t affect the use of the tool, but I wanted to point it out anyway. Also there are some previous owner’s markings on the rule. The square head is in good condition. It is a Tomico brand and it is stamped with the word“Hardened” on one side. The leveling vial is good. See the photos for more detail. It is the tool you will receive.

The square is in bright& shiny condition. there is only a couple of small stains on the metal. There is no damage. And the bubble and scribe are fine and present. The box it in good solid condition. Combination Square with a 12" Starrett No. 16R Grad. Hardened Scale and a Brown& Sharp Square Head. The scale does show signs of patina and age but may clean up easily in some rustaway. It is mostly still readable and there is no pitting. Just needs a good cleaning. The Square Head is a Brown& Sharpe and though it is nit stamped it is easily identified by its design. The square locks tightly to the scale and the level is in good working condition. The scribe is missing. These tools are from my Husband's machinists tools and I have many more tools listed.

Vintage Brown & Sharpe No. 4 Combination Square, 6" Rule
You are bidding on a Brown& Sharpe No. 4 combination square. It has a 6" blade. It is marked Brown& Sharpe Tempered No. 4 Prov. R.I. U.S.A. on the blade. The bubble is in tact. It has the name'Ray' engraved on the blade and 1 small(what looks like a file mark) on the end to the blade. There is no scribe. Other than that it is in very good condition. Check the pictures carefully and enlarge to get all the details. I sell and ship only to the United States. No exceptions. Brown & Sharpe Combination Square Set 12" - 4 Piece - Protractor, Square, etc
We have a vintage Brown& Sharpe Combination Square- 12" Ruler has Brown& Sharpe Mfg. Co. Providence R.I. U.S.A. Tempered, No. 4. Protractor also is marked Brown& Sharpe and Pat March 10, 1925. Other two pieces are not marked. It has a green colored level bubble and it is working. The square has no markings, but does have a working level, also has the scriber. All three items slide freely on the ruler. Really nice useable vintage piece. For additional information or pictures please contact.
