AOYUE 2703A+ DESOLDERING & SOLDERING IRON BURN PROTECTIVE SLEEVE Made By 3M
I have seen so many people working with their soldering iron or desoldering iron and they are not watching what they are doing. Accidentally bump their iron against the electrical line or hose and it is basically destroyed! All it takes to damage the lines on the Aoyue tools is a quick tap with the tip of your irons and you will be replacing the air hose or electrical lines and sometimes both! That's when I came up with this protective heat resistant sleeve that keeps the accidental tap of the irons from destroying your hoses and putting you out of commission until you get a replacement. My kit includes 2 heat resistant line covers made by 3M with slits to install the 2 tie straps to keep the cover secured. One of the covers are longer than the other so you have to make sure that you do not put the long cover on the shorter line. The ... moredesoldering iron is the shortest line. I am guessing that you can use these covers on any brand of irons. The lengths of my covers are ~41" and ~37" I find the easiest way to install these covers is to tie a length of kite string or equivalent to a door knob and tie a paper clip to the over end. Drop the paper clip into one end of the cover and let it slide down to the other end where you pull it out. Then tie that end of the string to the metal fastener of the irons and pull on the cover to help guide the cover over the lines. Some may want to spray a lubricant like cooking spray or another food grade type lube that will not damage plastic of rubber. I didn't use a lube and I took my time and I got the covers on and the ties attached in about 10 minutes. You can see the end result in the photographs. Enjoy a more productive and stress free work environment. These cover are not going to protect your lines if you lay the Irons on the lines and leave them to burn. Aoyue INT 732 Game Console Rework Station, SMD Rework Station
I've had this rework station for around 2 and a half years and it has treated me well. I don't have the time to do rework anymore and it's a crime to have such a machine just sit and not be utilized. One common problem the 732 has is that the top heater mount fails due to the threading on the pipe becoming compromised from moving the top heater around. I have brazed this into place and this problem will never occur. Also. This machine came wired for 20amp 250V(6-20p) plug, even though it operates on a 20amp 110 line(5-20R) I changed this to a normal 20 amp 110v plug so it will just plug into the wall. This is all plug and play. This all includes: Top heater. This auction is for a very lightly used Aoyue 710 Focused Infrared Welding System. When I purchased this unit it was way over $2000. Currently new ones are about $1200 plus shipping This is the preferred unit for soldering and unsoldering surface mount parts on printed circuit boards. Right now. I looked on eBay and found none of these professional units available for sale. Problems associated with Hot Air soldering and desoldering are eliminated. The Aoyue 710 can be used for reworking BGA. Micro BGA, QFP, PLCC, SOIC small SMD and other circuit board components. In a Nutshell. The technique is to place the circuit on the PCBA supports above the infrared Pre-heater. Then holding the infraredsoldering gun, you finish the heating and either remove the part or finish the pad soldering to the PCBA. But it is the standard style with three small blades that goes into computers, printers and monitors. Some people will think that using infrared welding goggles are a bit over the top. But they are a safety element that must be worn. Infrared energy cannot be seen by the human eye, but given enough of it, your eye could be damaged- and you will get a heck of a sunburn. There are two controls on the front of the main unit- and corresponding LED's that read out the temperature settings of both the preheat and soldering gun. The preheater can be set from 100 to 500 degrees Centigrate. The Solderlight Gun can be set from 100 to 450 degrees centigrate. It takes a bit of practice to do this well. If the preheater is set too high or your PCBA is left on too long. It can warp. So it takes some time to make it just right- sort of adjusting the tone, volume and balance of the car stereo in your car. Once you have the knack, you can really go into production. Partially Tested, Read This heating station is in good physical condition with light signs of use. It was powered up in our facilities and turned up to approximately 700 degree Fahrenheit. Though we didn't have any means of measuring how hot it got. We put a circuit board up to the heat gun and within several seconds, the solder started to melt and bead off the board indicating that it's HOT. This unit has a fan and cool-down when powered down to allow everything to properly cool before fully shutting off. The fan spins well and blows a proper amount of air out. It appears to be in great-working condition though we don't have all of the accessories to fully test this.
