Many of them minus the buckets which effectively turns them into paperweights. This one has the matched set of six buckets. It has a stand for them as pictured, a stand for the rotor body, and a carry sack(or whatever you want to call the blue thing) I don’t presume to know the application for this. It showed up just after a Beckman Optima centrifuge was sold by the same university. Minus the rotor. So perhaps that is where it has been previously employed. International IEC 940 Centrifuge Rotor This auction is for an International IEC Centrifuge Rotor model 940. This is an enclosed swinging bucket rotor with four matched 1671 shields. And a 12,000 RPM max rotational speed. I don’t believe this was designed to be a sealed rotor system. Which is good, because the outfit that I bought it from appears to have dropped it. The lid is dinged on the edged facing you in the picture. At about 4 o’clock relative to the printing on the lid. It isn’t badly damaged as I think you can see. But the lid is slightly”sprung” meaning it doesn’t seat all the way around like it ought to. Close. But not quite. I tried to straighten it some. But basically everything I do seems to push the small gap between the lid and the bowl/cover to a different spot, so I gave up. You might be able to do better. But I would expect ... moreto have a narrow gap on one side or the other with the lid installed. Please take that into consideration. I do not see any damage to the body of the rotor itself. Only to the lid. I do not know which IEC centrifuges this will fit. It doesn’t show up in my older catalogs so I have no cross reference for it and no experience with it. You will have to decide for yourself if it is suited to your application. Nor can I tell you what the 1671 buckets will hold. Please check out my for more interesting lab equipment. Jouan Swinging Bucket/Horizontal Centrifuge Rotor For sale- a Jouan Swinging Bucket/Horizontal Centrifuge Rotor. This particular rotor was pulled from a Jouan CR411 but I am guessing it fits a CR412 or CR422 as well. The reason I say that is that the only reason I bought the CR411 was to get the buckets that were on this rotor so that I could finally complete a CR422 that I have had for literally ages. So the buckets(not pictured) are NOT included. Just the rotor as you see it. Max RPM 4750. Max Load 6.8Kg. More than several of these available. But the price looks pretty steep if you have to source the buckets elsewhere. So I have trimmed the price down way below what the others are listed at because I would prefer to sell it in my lifetime. The CR411 this was removed from was scrapped because the lid wouldn’t close among other issues. So ... morethe rotor is completely untested and NO warranty is offered. However. Hard to say which. As you can see in the pictures this is a 4x rotor but the sale currently includes only two buckets and the unmatched inserts you see. I say currently. The Mistral 3000i centrifuge it was pulled from initially had all four buckets, but somewhere along the line 2 of them walked away. There would certainly have been plenty of opportunity for someone to snatch them. The question would be why? Why would you only take two instead of all four? So they may have simply gotten separated as the centrifuge got moved around. Possible. Most likely not probable, but the surplus guy said he would keep an eye out for them.
