When I moved into a new Art Studio mid 2012 this was hanging on the wall. There was much trash to be tossed. But the minute I spotted this somewhat circular, 8 legged spiderish, not quite an octagon, very industrial looking, WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE metal thing I grabbed it immediately but was stunned by what I thought was almost 10 lbs of weight- actually only 7.8 lbs. When the Studio was finally cleaned and painted I proudly hung it on the wall. Whatever it is. Well after almost 40 years the sad day has come when I am about to finally close my Studio and painful decisions are being made about what must find new homes. A bright light and magnifying glass led me to the possible identify of my unidentified art. I believe this to be a CENTRIFUGE ROTOR manufactured by IEC. It appears to be in good shape(considering my non-existent knowledge ... moreof such things) There are no cracks, dents, or other apparent major- or minor- damage; but with only a passing idea of how this might work, it is really hard to tell. So. It is for sale. There are as many photos as there seemed to be possible angles.
