This is a very nice rotary table. It works excellent. The reason I know that is because I just used it this week. It is from my own shop. I really hate to sell it. I was going to keep it forever. But I need a bigger rotary table. So I am selling this one to get the funds for the bigger one. It has an 8" table. It is just under 5 1/2" tall. It has X& Y axis. It has the original 2 piece vice with hold down bolts. Even the Craftsman decal is still nice. Look at this one real close. You wont find many flaws. The table surface still has the factory grinding pattern on it. There is a bit of staining on the surface. See the pics. The key slots are perfect. It has the original paint. The X& Y dovetails look great. All the degree marks are clear and easy to see. When I got it in this condition. I thought it was too good to be true, ... moreso I opened it up to check inside. The worm gear and worm are perfect. See the pics for yourself. The paint looks old because it is old. I usually paint old tooling when I get it for my shop. But I didn't paint this because I prefer the original patina to anything I could do to it. If you are looking at this auction. I believe this is a Palmgren 8 inch X-Y cross slide table. I can not find any manufacturers marks on it but all the casting numbers begin with 6280. This may also have been sold under the Craftsman name. It is in good condition. Both X and Y axis move by graduated hand wheels and the settable rotary top has t-slots. There are four t-nuts included. The two axis have a range of 5+ inches and the graduated top turns 360 degrees and is clamped by two knobs. The handles permit smooth movement and do not extend below the base. Eliminating interference with the machine table. The table has minor Oops marks. These items will be from either the machine shop or the prototype shop, and they all appear to be in good condition. The height from the base to the table top is approximately 5-1/2" In addition to the table rotation. This table also has an X and Y Cross Feed. The table could use a light cleaning, but the table appears to be in nice condition. Looks like a perfect table for a Bridgeport, Clausing, or other small to medium size vertical milling machine.

Let's Sell This. Palmgren 8 inch Rotary. Tilting Cross Slide Table. This table is used but only lightly so. The table rotates 360 degrees with the hand wheel. The rotational dial is marked in 3 second increments. The tilt. As you will see in the photos, goes from 0 to 90 degrees vertical. Position is locked with 4 bolts through the support brackets. The 1 axis of cross slide has 4 inches of travel. Table T slots are 5/8 x 1 inch. It fits perfectly in USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. You will have your table within a few days of payment.

8" Palmgren Rotary Table with X and Y Axis Cross Feeds Machinist Milling
For auction is a used Palmgren cross slide rotary table. No Reserve Most importantly that you need to know is that the lower handwheel was broken at some time. I had fabricated a new knurled knob to replace this handwheel out of aluminum. It's not perfect. But it works just fine. Please note that when fabricating the knob, I used the hub(turned down) of the original handwheel and no modifications to the machine were made at all. Another Palmgren handwheel will slide right on as if it hasn't been touched. All the screws and etc. Seem fine here. The table has a few dimples from a drill bit. Look at the pics for best description. It is mounted to a piece of plywood and a'mini' crate built around it- then placed in a heavy duty box. The thing is about 42lbs packed. This rotary table does not appear to have been used. There are some very very light scratches and stains on the table top. But there are no rusted, busted, bent, or broken parts. The gear teeth are like new with no visible wear. The mechanisms move as they should. It may be possible to make further adjustments to remove what little backlash that exists. The item itself weighs 40 pounds. I will crate it and pad it inside with solid dense foam. The cost for packing is $15.00.
