Pneumatic indexing head. I believe this is an Erickson. But the name plate is gone. Hooked it up to the compressor and tested advancing fine- Has a standard 5-pin CNC plug, but I have no idea how to test that function- the shop closed, and there's no need for this expensive piece of equipment. Check the video link out- I believe this can be used manually with a foot pedal or hand control, and may also be hooked to a CNC controller for your lathe or mill. 4" to the center of the mounting plate, 3" center-to-center on the mounting bolt holes. Add a chuck or rotary table plate. The center hole is tapered, maybe for a 3-C collet- or R8- smooth bore tho- no threads. CNC 4th Axis Rotary Table/Indexer for Taig Mill w/ NEMA 17, 1.8A Stepper Motor
This is a small rotary axis I made. The mounting plate has holes on 1-inch centers for the Taig mill table. Although by modifying the mounting plate it could probably go on pretty much any mill. It uses a 1.8A NEMA 17 stepper motor for motion. It can take 3" chucks with an adapter. Most recently I used the Taig chuck with their mill table adapter. The pulleys and belt are 1/4" MXL(080 pitch) as Follows: Small Pulley 36T Large Pulley 130T Belt 160T A tail stock is included for use with Short#2 Morse Tapers such as are used for the Chinese mini lathes(7x10 etc. And are available from The Little Machine Shop online. As an example of what it can do. This rotary axis was used to cut the teeth on the 36T pulley currently in use. It works quite well and is very solidly built, but it is not fast. It's unlikely you'll ever see more ... morethan a few RPM out of it. It works great for indexing and milling, but is not fast enough for turning. Steps per degree are as follows(130/36) x 50 x 200)360 = 100.309 steps/deg. This does not account for micro-stepping. Which is a function of your driver. Included are the rotary axis w/ motor. Nikken Rotary Table Indexer CNC-500V Bostomatic 605 500mm
Huge Nikken rotary table that was used on a Bostomatic 605. This unit was purchased as part of a package with a machine. It is just too big for us to use. The backlash measures 0.00025" at the face outer diameter. As you can see from the pictures. It is clean and hasn't been crashed, dropped, or abused. If you machine big things. This may be a cheap way to add the flexibility of a 4th axis. Nikken indexers are the top of the line. This one would cost well over $100,000 new. Item was tagged as possibly needing a motor encoder. We were going to replace it. But the encoder is usually changed when adapting a table to a different make of machine tool anyway. Notice the servo hum at minute 3:00. And 3:45 Cleaning out Dads shop. RT-3J SMW indexing rotary head. See video of working. Please watch entire video. The servo hums sometimes. I tightened up the cap, and it did change the pitch of the noise, I am not sure what it is, but it doesn't sound deep, it might even be a loose fit with the cap. It also didn't seem to affect performance. It might even be the controller, I am not sure that the system 50 works on these well. Controller does not come with the auction, being sold with another unit. YUASA CPDX-10nm CNC Rotary Indexer, 16" chuck, 3.5" thru, with CPNC-500 control.
Hello. Thanks for looking at my eBay add. I have for sale a Yuasa CPDX-10mn indexer with a CPNC-500 controller. Both indexer and controller appear to be in good condition. The indexer appears to be in great shape. It has a monster 16" chuck on it. And a large 3.5" thru hole. I believe that this extra large chuck was a Yuasa option with the prefix"nm" Normally this indexer would have about a 12" chuck, someone apparently wanted bigger. The only problem I see is that the chuck is so large that if you want to mount the indexer horizontally you'll need a slight riser for the indexer. The chuck will touch the table before the bottom of the casting is flat on the table. You could also remove the 16" and mount a 12" chuck if you wanted. Please note that I haven't used this indexer on any machining jobs. ... moreI got it used and I never installed it. Some info on the indexer for you: This indexer uses a motor for positioning with encoder feed back. It's not a true 4th axis. Your machine connects to the indexer's control box via cabling and sends out a signal for the indexer to step to the next line of the program stored in the control box. You send this signal using a spare m-code in the machine tool. Once the step is completed the indexer signals the machine to continue via a"finish" signal to the machine control. If you know indexers. This is the standard setup. This indexers control box is extremely easy to program. This indexer also has a pneumatic brake which is used to hold position when machining. This pneumatic brake can be turned off, but then the only thing holding the chucks position would be the motor. I would not recommend trying to machine a part while the indexer is rotating. The motor does not have that kind of power. I have pdf manuals for the indexer which includes all the parts and electrical documents. I don't have manual which shows the 16" chuck option. The photos have a few reflections. These are not defects.There are a few very minor scratches on the red powdercoat. I can send you additional photos if you like. It was original equipment for an HRT-160. However the control will be shipped with the parameters unlocked, which will enable the user to configure it for any of the other 17 pin brush rotary products from Haas. These controls are fully tested just prior to shipment. DOA is not possible. However. You may test it for yourself at your risk.
