This is an extremely heavy duty XY cross slide table with very large handwheels and very smooth movement. The table size is 4 1/8" x 4 x 4 5/16" Handwheels are calibrated in.001" inches. 0-125. It also has a degree marking, because i believe it can be used as a rotary table as well, to hold a specific angle(see the last picture, for the degree markings) T-slots appear to be 1/2" Very useful for a heavy drill press. I bought a small benchtop milling machine so have no use for this monster. It weighs easily 30-50 lbs- almost as much as my mill! Very heavy duty piece of equipment and looks very accurate. I believe this is a Palmgren 8 inch X-Y cross slide table. I can not find any manufacturers marks on it but all the casting numbers begin with 6280. This may also have been sold under the Craftsman name. It is in good condition. Both X and Y axis move by graduated hand wheels and the settable rotary top has t-slots. There are four t-nuts included. The two axis have a range of 5+ inches and the graduated top turns 360 degrees and is clamped by two knobs. The handles permit smooth movement and do not extend below the base. Eliminating interference with the machine table. The table has minor Oops marks. The rotational dial is marked in 3 second increments. The tilt. As you will see in the photos, goes from 0 to 90 degrees vertical. Position is locked with 4 bolts through the support brackets. This rotary table does not appear to have been used. There are some very very light scratches and stains on the table top. But there are no rusted, busted, bent, or broken parts. The gear teeth are like new with no visible wear. The mechanisms move as they should. It may be possible to make further adjustments to remove what little backlash that exists.
