The lettering is very clear on the bases and both have some varnish on the"VT-67" I believe this is because the markings wash off easily with water. The tubes have a little bit of corrosion on a couple of ... morethe pins from years of storage. Otherwise the tubes are pristine. The pins were lightly cleaned for testing. Each tube was tested on my US Military I-177B tube tester for mutual conductance as a type 30 Special. The expected mutual conductance for a new type 30 Special is 1025. One of the tubes for auction gave a reading of 1225 and the other tube gave 1200. The results both exceed the 1025 expected for an unused tube. Both tubes also showed no shorts. Vintage Ceramic Lipstick Holder, 2 Piece Piano Bronze Look, Holds 4 Tubes
Up for auction is a unique vintage piano lipstick holder from a local estate. It's unmarked and looks hand painted. But was well done. Measures 5 inches wide and 4.75 inches tall. The top of the piano is the"lid" Take it off and it reveals four little holes for lipstick. Each hole has a diameter of about 13/16" This item is in very good condition. There are some light scuff marks on the bottom, but no chips or cracks. This handy little item will keep your lipstick from getting dusty, and looks great on a bathroom sink or vanity. If you collect Poodles or Lipstick Holders or know someone who does. You just might be interested. Why not take a peek. The Porcelain Ceramic Poodle looks just like another Poodle Figurine until you see the 2 Holes on her back Haunches which were meant to hold Tubes of Lipstick. They thought of everything back then. Didn't they? And whatever they thought of, they made it is a Poodle Shape! There is a marking on the Bottom which is Signed- V.K. 85' Which stands for Victiria Kitchen. Who was a local mid century artist/painter. I did see a Mold Form that looks like this would have been made in and that is by Duncan Molds circa 1963 but this one may be a little newer. I actually have 2 matching poodles exactly the same, so select more than one quantity if interested! The Poodle stands 6- 1/2" tall and is aroximately 2- 3/4" ... morewide and 2- 3/4" deep.
