GIBSON P-13 PICKUP IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION READS 7.15K OHMS CA 40'S 50S
Up for auction i s a vintage Gibson P-13 guitar pickup. This is the forerunner of the famous P-90 pickup we are all so familiar with. These were used in the Gibson ES-150, Silvertone and other guitars. Dates ca 1940-50. This unit is all original except for the piece of shrink tubing I added where lead joins pickup. Lead len g th is 8 inches. Desireabl e because of the individual pole pieces( as contrasted with the model that did not have the pole pieces) and gr eat sound. Pole pieces all turn freely. Pickup meas ured 7.15K ohms and sounded great. Mounting screws. Heavy springs and surround are all original. in pic 5 you can see the heavy duty springs) This unit can be mounted with the surround or without d epending on th e guita r. I have been repairing guitar s for more years than I care to mention and I have seen just a few of these. None ... morehowever were as clean as this one. A very nice offering! Note: the small 4 screws for the surround seen in picture 6 are not original but I will send them along. NM or M- Near Mint: Probably played but still looks like new. Vintage Gibson Patent Number Bridge Pickup Humbucker ES-335 No Reserve 7.55 Ohms
Up for auction is a vintage Gibson Humbucker guitar pickup. I purchased this pickup from a luthiers estate sale. It has the Pat No 2.737,842. The previous owner labeled it Bridge and 335. I assumed with was removed from an ES-335 but don't know for sure. It works and measures 7.55 K Ohms. The lead wire is pretty short. Includes the cover and mounting bracket that looks original but again I'm not certain. The plastic ring has M8 593 70 596 on the inside witch should date it somewhere between 1969-1974. The ring does have some wear. Dents, a little warped and one screw holes look to have been enlarged. View my other auctions for more guitar parts. Interesting pickup in that it is mounted to a bracket with screw holes; to m ount to rear of guitar? Three mounting screws affix pickup to the bracket with a spring to allow for height adjustments. Measured 7.26 K Ohms on my Fluke meter and sound bright and clear with plenty of punch through an amp. Lead length is 13" Excellent original condition! NM or M- Near Mint: Probably played but still looks like new. Original. Bobbin and working coil from a circa-1980 Fender Stratocaster. I think this was the first of the plastic bobbins, introduced in 1980. This is from a box of surplus Fender parts I had, nearly all from the’70s, so this probably didn’t date from much later, though I think the factory part designation number, 016730, remained in use for decades. This pickup is missing its magnets and cover. The coil is working fine. And reads 7.42 K Ohms. The original connector wires are present as well. No reserve. I’ve described the item as best I can. This is an original Hickok English(Shunt) pot from a 533A tube tester. It should work on other tube testers that were a Hickok design. Including some Military testers. This pot is a dual design 150/150 ohm. This pot is in excellent condition and tests good with a Fluke 289 DMM. It is tight and not loose or worn when rotated. Pot body is 1.12” thick and 1.61” in diameter. Includes nut. Check your needs to see if a 150/150 ohm will work on your tube tester. If for any reason there is a problem whether it is with the item.
