Parma Turbo Qualifier 2-ohm Controller 270-B
I wish I knew more about this controller. I bought it used down at the local slot car hall. It works great. The cars I had were super fast. And this is the only controller that allowed me to maintain control over them. I looked at the pictures here on eBay, and everything looks like the the other Parma Turbo Qualifier 2-ohm Controller 270-B's. It has the same heat sink. The same cords, the same trigger and the same wrist tie. It looks like an anodized aluminum frame. The clips look right. I know I paid a lot for it, even though it was used. Description Vintage Simpson 270 improved 260 Analog Millameter Volt Amp Ohm Meter multimeter VOM For sale a vintage Simpson 270 Series 4 meter. This is one of the best meters in Simpson lineup.Mirror dial, and improved accuracy. This meter is hard to find in great condition, and even harder to find fully tested. This was calibrated against my Tek 914 DMM. And show great accuracy. It also works without batteries for everything but ohm measurement, so that it will never be out of commision when you need it most. It comes with rugged military porbes that have bana plug and pin jacks, and 4 different probe tips, they are built tough to last a lifetime. It has none of the other bad design mistakes such as reversed banana plugs from series 7 on up. Newer digital meter will have the high input impedance of a DVM. Typically 10-22 Meg ohms, a Simpson ... more260 or other analog VOM will be much lower input impedance however, 5,000 to 20,000 ohms/volt. What it means in practical terms, it will be much more reliable continuity tester. Or even in my testing of amps, small levels of current. My Tektronix DMM did not pickup the current powering led, and moreover led did not even light up, while Simpson completed the circuit and showed a small current. The point is if you want to measure to 0.5% then DMM is best, but most of the circuits are built with 5-10% tolerance levels, so really it does not matter if you have 3 V or 3.15 V for the testing purposes. Check my recent feedback on a similar meter. Most of the meters here on E-Bay are untested. So that you are really flipping a coin when buying those, I calibrated it in Amp, Ohm, AC and DC- just take a look at the pictures. This vintage Multimeter was made by Bach-Simpson. London, Canada. Pointer moved when I used leads and a battery. Am not an expert and sell same as is. Has a leather handle. Weighs 3 lb(1.4 kg) There is damage on the housing on lower left corner. A small piece of the bakelite broken off(3/4" long and 1/4" wide) also a crack at the lower right corner 2" and a crack on the back of 3" Scratch on scan#1 front of meter is on the glass of scanner not the meter.
