AMERICAN NO.77 MOULDER/PLANER 1909
This is an American No.77 Moulder/Planer that has been sitting in our barn for several years. We used this to make hardwood flooring and hardwood wains coating for several years. It has four cutter heads(Top/Bottom/2-Sides) which are driven with Flat Belts. It has a manual transmission and some ductwork included and a couple extra side cutters. This machine is Located near Postville. Iowa 52162 and is very heavy. The buyer is responsible for removal. I have some equipment that can assist loading but I will not be held responsible for any damages or injuries caused with that activity. Sorry. I'm estimating the Wt. at about 6-7 tons. It turns on very quietly and runs smoothly. The infeed and outfeed rollers are a bit worn but they still work well. The cutters are sharp and yield a smooth cut on the board. There is a molder head on it with trim cutters. They are very sharp. The adjustment up and down works well. I really don't see anything wrong with this except that it will need a new set of drive belts. Which should be pretty cheap. I live in zip code 37406 in Chattanooga. TN. Weinig Profimat 22n 5 head moulder
We have used this moulder for about 7 years. We have had to do very little to this machine. It is quite clean. The top and last bottom head probably will need to be rebuilt if you want to run mouldings, I have started to get some chatter the last while. If you are going to run flooring you probably won't have any trouble like it is. I have more pictures if you are interested.
